I'll Love you for A Thousand More

One Step Closer

By Maryam BatoolPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 3 min read

I have died every day waiting for you! Darling don't be afraid; I have loved you... For a thousand years.......... I'll love you for a thousand more

January 13, 1996

[Hands in hands]

It feels like I've been waiting for this moment forever. Words? No ink was created to express my Love for you, Amelia. Remember; You and I were children? When I saw you for 1st time at our garden's backside— Stealing roses from our garden. That time I wasn't running for you because you ruined my Mum's favorite kind from her favorite row. I was running for you. That day I realized that life was named after LOVE. I started to hide behind that row of roses just to see you coming. Even today when someone asks my name; I say, "I am Loser Jaxon", to which they laugh. Only I know how much I love calling myself Loser because this was the first name you gave me. Amelia, I'm 25 but it feels like I've been waiting for you to be mine for 250 years...

Amelia chuckled with tears of love flowing down her eyes all the way to her neck.

Wait... Wait... Wait... There's more to it... Remember that good luck charm pearl of yours, You lost in the pool? I found it, swimming the rest of the day til my skin felt numb. I want your good luck charm to always remind you of my love. Here is it:

Jaxon opened the ring box, showcasing the ring with that pearl placed on it. It looked like the most perfect wedding ring ever. The delicacy of the pearl and the shine of the hoop were screaming how much love Jaxon's heart held for her.

The Day they became ONE

1996——— January 25

Here's your Coffee, Am...

Aww... If I ever knew that I'd get a husband who'd make me coffee every morning... I wouldn't have waited til I was 25. Don't be so good that it becomes hard to leave you to go up there...!

Shhh! Don't you dare say that, Am. If They call you to heavens; I'll be there too; waiting for you.

Jaxon said —While placing a finger on her lips to ensure nothing bad came out.

Gosh! I love you, Jaxon. Don't be silly... Why would I pray to get to heaven on our 12th day of marriage? Who would make me coffee there? And don't you dare say something like you'd be there before me...

I was talking about the SPACE ALERT...

And I wished for a life, for a cup of coffee with my partner— Staring at the dawn of morning from the window. Making it the perfect scene of peace. I don't want anything else... For me, having you is everything.

Murmured Amelia as she removed a spore of lint from the white T-shirt of Jaxon.

Why would you sweet-poison my coffee by saying good and bad words at the same time? The SPACE ALERT? You know you're omitted from the list for the next 10 years, right? I absolutely don't wanna imagine you leaving me for that. I miss you even when you go buy groceries.

Shaping his lips in a down-face said, Jaxon.

Hahaha... Stop it. You're too cute for me to handle, ok? So, from next weekend you're coming with me when buying groceries... How does that sound? Amelia ironically said.

No, I mean... I could take care of my heart for the distance of a mile... I could do that for you.

Jaxon folded Amelia with his arm and both Chuckled as they sipped their Cold Coffee...

Wait a minute I know that song, it's such a nice song. So heartwarming. ‘Life was named after love’, I really like this line. I feel like the love of my life is speaking directly to me, when he's recalling the moments he had with her, it sounded real and it felt genuine. I like that the dates and the year is included. Removing the spore of lint form jaxsons t-shirt, nice attention to detail here. It makes me invested in the relationship between them. You know, after reading this. I don't think I can ever get mad at my husband, If he were to make me mad and I read this in that same moment. This was beautiful Maryam, I like that nothing bad happened and they could enjoy each other without all the mess and complication of having their own way, these are the stories we need sometimes. well done! 👏🏽👌🏽🤗♥️

Dear Maryam, Will you write a part three to the Ashes story? Komal and I don’t want it to end. Let the fun continue!!!! If you’re game that is. You don’t have to end it because we can ask Sk to write part four if he’s willing.

The ring detail with the pearl?! 🥹🥰. Also, their playful banter about groceries and coffee is the cutest thing ever. I'm officially obsessed with this story:) I’m mad that I didn’t read this part first

Oh, this is so sweet and heartfelt! Your writing captures the deep love between Jaxon and Amelia so beautifully—it's all warm, fuzzy feelings, and the little playful moments between them are just perfect! 😉 That "Loser Jaxon" part? So endearing! And the SPACE ALERT? Total cliffhanger! This is such a tender mix of romance and suspense—I can’t wait for Part II!💖🤗

  • Yes please break them up in part 2. Their love is making me cringe soooo hard, lol! Also, I loveeeeee that song! In my defense, that song came out when I still believed in love, lol

This is amazing! I loved the part about plucking the rose from the garden, and "sweet poison in the coffee," wow! These small details make the story so captivating. And what about the Space Alert? Is he an astronaut, and is he going to space? I'll be eagerly waiting for the next part. This story is incredibly beautiful and emotional. It portrays love, dedication, and the depth of connection between two people, making it truly special. Outstanding job, sister ✨🤝🙌👏

This is so so sweet. I love the way they interact. When I got married the song played at my wedding was A Thousand Years played by the Piano Guys. Great job! This one was very sweet.
