As the bus approaches the stop, 'Sara looks up from her phone
and see's her community in squalor. It was once a thriving
community of great people and green pastures, a town with
healthy great minds and souls that were productive and
independent. This day things were the total opposite. Burning
buildings, local neighborhood markets and banks were just gravel,
and ashes. Homes that once were value to one's heart and
dedication to maintain were abandoned. The community was left
with the extremely sick and mentally ill people who's one true
power was stripped and blocked. As Sara clutches onto her
shoulder bag and hunches over to get more securement for the
six block's she has to walk to her grandma Rosie's house 'she
startled by sirens and screaming agonizing voices from the
mentally ill people running up the street screaming of sorrow.
Sara becomes fearful and nervous” Not knowing what to expect
when she arrives to her grandma Rosie's house. She passes by
homes that once held beautiful childhood memories to nothing.
She's emotional she's hyperventilating walking. She finally
arrives to grandma Rosie's house “Knock Knock” she calls as
she bangs on the squeaky screen door “Knock Knock” (the door
opens) 'Grandma? She calls but no answer, she looks around the
front room the kitchen the laundry room and then she feels a
brush of wind coming from the back hall way. She walks back
to grandma Rosie's bedroom to no grandma Rosie. Sara panics
she's dreading the thought that something bad might of happened
to grandma Rosie. She starts to observe anything that may have
been out of place or suspicious looking in the room she walks
around the room observing everything. She glances on the floor
to what appears to be grandma Rosie's heart shaped pendent
necklace, “OMG! Said Sara” Grandma never take's off her heart
shaped necklace. Sara is distraught! She quickly puts the
necklace in her shoulder bag and frantically runs out the front
door. Sara runs screaming “Help Help Help” until she runs into
a peace officer who seems to be overwhelmed by the chaotic
environment of the neighborhood. Officer could you please help
me? I'm looking for my grandmother Sara shouts 'the officer
glances at Sara and ignores her brushing into the the crowd to
try to keep them into control. Sara shouts again “Please officer
Please! The officer turns to Sara and ask' what's your grandmother
name? Sara responds' her name is Rosie' “Rosie Strong. Sara continues
to explain to the officer that she has her grandma's heart shaped
locket necklace and she never takes the necklace off. Then the
officer points up to the sky with a paused gesture of remembrance
and replies “OH Yeah ..the ambulance picked her up she didn't
want to go to the hospital she tried to refuse but there was a
substantial amount of blood leaking from her head, it was to
dangerous she finally agreed to go she kept saying 'I lost my heart.
Thank you! Said Sara as she makes her way threw the crowd to
get to the nearest hospital. Twenty minutes later she arrives to the
hospital frantically she goes to the nurses kiosk “excuse me I'm
looking for my grandmother her name is Rosie Strong. The nurse
replies hesitantly hold on ma'am let me go get the doctor. The
doctor comes out introduces himself and says to Sara' I'm sorry
your grandmother did not make it, she suffered a pretty bad
blow to her head which caused a serve amount of hemorrhaging
and swelling. Sara weeps to the floor screaming “No No! The
doctor then waits a moment to allow temperate grievance, then
he says to Sara 'We tried everything towards her last breath, she
went in peace. Sara rising up off her bended knee looks at the
doctor and says thank you. She mopes to a seat in the hospital
hall way. Distraught Sara sits as she comes to grip with all that
has transpired she gathers her thought's and reaches into her
shoulder bag she pulls out the heart shaped locket clutches onto
the necklace she mumbles to herself “ I Have Your Heart
grandma “I Have Your Heart.
