What comes to your mind when you think of love ? Is it two people who can’t keep their hands off of each other ? While that’s how it started for me. It would soon be the worse experience of my life. I met my ex Stevie a year ago. It is because of her , that this has felt like the longest year of my life. At the beginning it was all passion. She quickly became more and more possessive.

She would constantly want to go through my phone and I let her because I had nothing to hide. When I was working one day I got a notification from my bank. It was about a transfer that I had supposedly made. This was impossible because I was in meetings all day. When I checked there was her name. Stevie Evens. I didn’t even know what to think I called her but no answer.

As soon as I got off of work I went to her apartment. I confronted her about the money and she told me that she needed it for an emergency. I was so upset I told her that I didn’t want to see her anymore.

That night she called and texted me repeatedly but I ignored her. I wanted her to know it was really over. I went to bed and the next morning was anything but normal. I woke up to texts from everyone I knew about the recent posts on instagram. I quickly checked and was disgusted but what I saw. All of my secrets were posted. Everything that I had ever told Stevie. About my family, about my friends, and about myself. Even the private pictures I had sent her all there for everyone to see.

I called her and texted her but no answer. My phone rang and it was my boss. I picked it up thinking it was a work related problem, since he was calling me on a Saturday. Instead he started talking about a email I had sent him. He ended up firing me. I got on my laptop and logged on. The last email sent was to my boss.

Where I allegedly told him what I thought of him. It had every bad word you can think. I knew I didn’t send it. I drove to Stevie’s apartment and she opened the door smiling. She knew exactly why I was there. She didn’t even bother denying that she did it. It was almost as if she was proud of it. She even went as far as to laugh about it. Like ruining my life was a joke to her. The last thing she told was “I should probably reset my password.” I couldn’t wrap my head around it. How she can turn and do this so quickly. This was not the Stevie that I knew.

I left with no answers. I went to the police station and filed a restraining order on her , and also told them about what she did. All I heard was that they would look into it. Which didn’t really sound too comforting. When I walked out she was there. Standing right by my car. She knew I was there some how. As I walked towards my car, she walked towards the police station. We looked at each other the whole way until she went inside.

I went home and decided to take a nap. I was awoken by banging on my door. I looked through my peep hole and saw a police officer. I assumed they wanted more information about Stevie so I opened the door. Instead I was told that I was being arrested for the murder of Stevie Evens. I was shocked because I had just seen her. How did she die so quickly ? How did I get blamed for it ? I had so many questions but would never get the answers. My advice to everybody out there be careful who you trust, and always reset your password.
