How I accidentally joined the Illuminati at my high school: Part 3

High School Secret Society. Part:3

By The Story WriterPublished about a year ago 4 min read

After months of balancing my dual life as a high school student and a member of "The Owl," I realised that the cost of keeping these secrets was too high. The dark revelations from the hidden diary only strengthened my resolve to leave the secret society. But quitting was easier said than done. The hidden diary I discovered detailed horrifying truths about society. It stated that "The Owl," along with the Illuminati and the Freemasons, was involved in manipulating global events for their gain. The diary hinted at dangerous rituals and unethical practices, showing that society was far from the benevolent guardian of knowledge it claimed to be. The final straw was the revelation that former members who tried to leave faced dire consequences, including threats to their lives. Knowing that I had to be cautious, I started planning my escape. I couldn't simply disappear without arousing suspicion. I began collecting evidence of society’s wrongdoings, hoping to use it as leverage if needed. I also started distancing myself from other members, pretending to be busy with schoolwork and family obligations.

My decision to leave was cemented during another society meeting. We were instructed to participate in a ritual that involved harmful actions against innocents to "protect the greater good." The experience was horrifying, and I knew I could no longer be part of such a morally corrupt organisation. After witnessing someone being unalived, it kind of lowered my morality, and quitting right there would lead me to become the next example of "protect the greater good." I knew I couldn’t do this alone, so I decided to seek help from a trusted friend from the society I knew, Emily. Emily, who was excellent at hacking and had a knack for investigative journalism, had also become sick of society and could no longer be part of such a morally corrupt organisation. I revealed everything to her, and together, we devised a plan to expose "The Owl." Emily would help disseminate the information to the right authorities and the media, ensuring that society's secrets would be revealed to the public. I hand over the diary to her and other evidence, ensuring that if anything happened to me, the truth would come out.

Leaving "The Owl'' wasn't going to be easy. The society had eyes everywhere, and any sign of betrayal could lead to severe consequences. Emily and I planned our escape meticulously. On the day of the next ritual, we would fake my involvement and use the chaos of the event to slip away unnoticed. Emily would be ready to release the gathered evidence as soon as we were safe. The night of the ritual arrived. I donned my owl mask one last time and joined the other members in the underground chamber. As the ceremony began, I felt a mix of fear and determination. The Grand Owl initiated the ritual, and just as it reached its climax, I made my move. Using a distraction Emily had set up, I managed to escape the chamber and navigate the hidden passages out of the school. Once I was safely away from the school, Emily released the evidence. The media and authorities quickly picked up the story, and within hours, the secret society's activities were exposed to the public. The school was put under investigation, and many members of "The Owl," including the Grand Owl, were apprehended. Shockingly, the Grand Owl was revealed and turned out to be the principal. The ritual was halted. Even though society's grip on the school was broken, some of them didn’t get caught. Including Illuminati and Freemason, but I was still relieved by it.

After years of being in society, I'm finally leaving. Even after leaving "The Owl, it was a challenge for me. I had to live in constant fear. I had to change my routines and adjust to a new reality where I was constantly wary of potential retaliation from remaining society members. However, I also felt a profound sense of relief and freedom. The society's, including the Illuminati and the Freemasons, reach was extensive, and I knew they wouldn't forget my betrayal. However, the relief of being free from their grasp was worth the paranoia. The experience had changed me, making me more aware of the hidden forces that shape our world. Over time, the immediate danger lessened, but the experience left a lasting impact on me. I remained in close contact with Emily, and we continued to work together to uncover other hidden truths. Escaping "The Owl'' was the most harrowing experience of my life, but it was also the most liberating. I learned the importance of courage, intelligence, and the power of truth. I became more cautious and mistrustful but also more determined to live a life of integrity and transparency. I used my story to warn others about the dangers of secret societies and the importance of questioning authority. My accidental entry into the secret society had led me on a journey of self-discovery and revealed the dark underbelly of the world around me. While the threat of society still looms in the background, I am committed to using my experiences to help others avoid similar pitfalls. And while my time in "The Owl" was over and it was fun while it lasted, the lessons I learned and the secrets I uncovered would stay with me. Forever.
