Hometown Heroes....

Heading up to my little cabin. It is a long way, putting music in the car and trying to stay awake. “Rocking to the Oldies”. Bumps and turns along the way. It had to be about mid afternoon by now. Pulling into the driveway and seeing my old neighbors.

Grabbing my bags and putting my hand on the doorknob. Ready to settle in. Just closed the door. Someone knocked on the door! “What now”. Hi neighbor. {Just saw you pill in} and wanted to let you know you have a light out. Thanks. Have a good evening. Lights were on and I went to put wood in the fireplace. It wasn’t that late so put the kettle on.

Sitting down ready to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and read the newspaper. The lights blew out and lightning flashed. A thunderstorm was brewing and blowing gusts of wind that hit my windows.

Sitting there listening to stories of the olden days. It was great in the old days. But now I’m older and just living in quietness. Remembering the past was ok. But now that my kids have grown up it's now my time to just live. That is what I am going to do. First night in my cabin was great.

It’s morning now and after waking I put the kettle on. Went outside to cut more wood and sat at the table looking outside to see what the storm did. Not much damage. What am I going to do now that I have come to my cabin? That is a question! Could I call my old friends? It has been 10 years. Why not! It would be nice to know what they have been up to. The first friend would call my old {Jareth} my bird. “Hoot” my bird squawks. Good to see you old boy.

As for my friends; there is something you need to know and I was known to be the strange one. Because the friends that I am about to mention are {a dark elf, halfling, a mage, ranger, a {Trickster "Arcangel"} and Half-Demigod druid”. Their names are {Athena Starbreeze, Tasslehoff Brightblade, Raistlin Majere, Tanis Fireforge, Laurena Goldmoon and me Angeni Burrfoot. Told you I was different because I am a demigod.

Sending “Jareth” my bird to fetch them. {I request your presence to join me on a quest. Sincerely, Angeni stopped. I know it has been five years. Stop. Hope you come!} That deserves another cup of coffee and putting another wood in the fireplace. It has to be around noon by now. “Jareth” came in scoffing. Settled in his nest. Just then there was a knock at the door. Jumping up to answer it. Eagerly, surrounded by my closest friend ever and very happy to have you here.

Putting the kettle on, another wood was placed the fireplace and asked "Laurena" if she wanted coffee or a tea? Because I knew that she likes to be asked and the reason is {being an Arcangel} they have different tastes. Her taste is normally very sweet! Either way you can add sugar. We all were sitting around the table just talking about the good old days. Adding another wood to the fire. Raistlin, Tanis, asked who is up for another quest?

Another quest? The gang asked! We all yelled yes. Afterwards the gang put all our stuff together by the door. Packing up food and stuff we need to take on the journey. One thing you need to know about the forgotten realms. There is no time in the realms. There are many realms. Some would say; unsettling and even unnatural. Remembering those times when I was Half-Blood Camp and my other friends were in Sorcery University and why? I was there when you said; "me Half-Demigod druid” told you that I was different.

Tanis asked: what and where are we going on this quest? Raistlin said; {the Land of the Lost Souls} and Tasslehoff what why! Raistlin and the others said what is so important about this quest? You should be warned about the Land of the Lost Souls! Ghouls, ghosts, goblins and even the supernatural. What you need to know is that my nightmares have risen and are alive.

Now that you know little history about the {Land of Lost Souls}, everyone is packed and ready to go to the Forgotten Realms. Starts out with the ground foggy, many doors and now there is what to be a Ghost Horse Caius” standing there with a carriage. My friends and I settle in carriage everyone speaking at once. Whistle blows, the carriage stops suddenly and Raistlin "says, what is going on"? Getting up, Tasslehoff jumps up and standing was a very tall Reaper {soul keeper}. {The reaper of souls says, have to take different trails and no explanation is necessary}.

Arriving by nine. Setting up camp, starting a fire and putting dinner on. The road that we chose was deep into the woods and dark, some would say: creepy and spooky because weird sounds were heard. All was sitting around the fire pit, after dinner and talking well should make some plans on what is the next step. Settling in for now, sleep insomnia crepes in and as sitting in silence Raistlin says: “having trouble sleeping”?

Yes. It has been a couple of weeks that this has been happening, my {Angeni} said I have been having nightmares. Do you want to talk about them? I guess! You don’t mind? Wouldn't that interfere with your sleeping. Raistlin said; {no} I haven't been sleeping that well either. Talking about them made me feel much better. It is morning now. The rest of the gang was slowly waking, does anyone want coffee? {Angeni} said.

We are about to pack up the camp site, where is Tasslehoff and Laurena? Suddenly there was screaming from deep in the woods and then Tasslehoff, Laurena picked up your weapons. We are not alone. {Crowley- king of Hell} has opened this "abyss of secrets" that means Gates of Hell and Cerberus was the first creature that our gang encountered. Using magic spells, crossbow, staff and swords. Took a lot to defeat Cerberus but Crowley was not finished with us and Griffin swoops in and picks up Tasslehoff.

The gang went after Tasslehoof, {Crowley said; stop and we all had no choice because a dome was put upon the gang by magic}. All of us were trapped. Not even Laurena {Trickster Arcangel} could use her powers to save us. Think about it {Angeni said to herself}, why is “Crowley” trying to get our attention? Into the "abyss of secrets" that means Gates of Hell and Crowley said had to get your attention.

Well you get our attention. Let us out and we will talk. Done, “Crowley” said. We all were sitting at the dungeon table, bringing back Tasslehoff and we need your help to restore order. What is going on? This is going to interfere with our quest. This is important as well. If there is no order the whole world will go to the dogs bad words of course. Magic can not take care of this time but our gang can. This type of realm is war of the worlds and that one is going to make us heroes.

Putting the world right side up, fixing the wrong and getting back Tasslehoof to going forward with our own quest. Another forgotten realm has opened the doors and we were scooped up by a gust of wind taking us to the right realm. This realm is full of Shadow Land of the undead. Question? Tanis said. {this is not the right realm, we are to be heading to the Land of the Lost Souls} we are kind of heading in the right direction just the Shadow Land of the undead.

There is a reason that we were sent to this realm “Tanis said”. That is why? Thor has come to this realm. Thor; {says why are you here}? Raistlin said: “we are looking for Land of the Lost Souls and we were zapped here of Shadow Land of the undead}! Well “Thor” what is going on here? Can we help? Raistlin said. We are already fixed on the realm. Another one won't hurt.

Fighting by the side of “Thor” is an off putting task but we won. The world is once again in order. “Thor” gives many thanks. The planets haven't been since November 25, 2021 now that we have fixed this world with “Thor” can fulfill his destiny. Raistlin said: can you put us at Land of the Lost Souls? No sooner than that was said the ground was so foggy and screams were calling out and we have returned to the right forgotten realm.

This is my realm; {Angeni Burrfoot} spoke about this place, told you I was different and why? Well, I'm a “demigod” druid! Was sent to this time when I was a teenager. There was no fog, but there were a lot of demigods and a lot of freedom. Yes. We did have teachers, of all kinds of species and a headmaster. We all were taught to fight, stand up for beliefs. Raistln said: we don’t need the backstory, we just need to know what we are here. When I “Raistlin” asked you all if you wanted to go on this quest? It wasn't about this! I “Raistlin”, it was to Land of the Lost Souls and was because a goblin called me out on a promise that was made when I was in University! Oh; “Raistlin”, this is my {nightmare} and the secret we shared. But this is not quite like the nightmare. I don't remember fog and there was no screaming.

This is the “Land of Lost Souls” but not that you asked the gang to go on. This is {Lost Souls} demigod world. What are you saying “Angeni”? Raistlin said. When you asked {Thor} to zap us to the Land of Lost Souls, ya Raistlin said, well {Thor} is immortal. So what I “Angeni” said zap us he did and you weren't suspect enough this is the demigod world. That is ok. We will get out of here and get to the right realm, don't worry “Angeni” Raistlin said.

“Angeni” said that is not going to be that easy. Why? Raistlin asked. Well we are captured. Tasslehoff said; {I’ll just use my little hands untie this net and free us. “Angeni” said No you won’t. That was a little harsh, “Angeni” Tanis said. Sorry this is a demigod world. Things are different here. No magic, no trickster, no spells, nothing you all will do will work and we are before the King {my father}. Zeus speaks who are your immortals in a harsh tone. “Dad, it’s me,''Angeni said. We are not all Immortals Zeus, you have the {trickster Archangel} Laurena, what are you doing with my daughter? We are on a quest {daddy “Angeni” said}. Let them go.

Once my friends and I were let go. What is going on here Zeus? Asked Raistlin! Why is there so much fog? Well Raistlin, something is very wrong in this realm. Your nightmares were warning signs “Angeni”. What do you mean? Warning signs. The {Lost Souls} are free and causing Havoc. These types of “Lost Souls” are upper class ones. The four flying horsemen are the “Lost Souls” and very powerful. They are Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. They are wanting to end the world. Zeus interrupted and said {that was the mistake that “Thor” made I “Zeus'' said I interrupted the zap drop you here}. We need your help. Fix this realm please. Containing the four horsemen putting this world up right and fixing this realm my father “Zeus” sent us to the right realm. Before that he gave me a piece of advice: have a {long talk with Raistlin}!

That was playing on my mind but we were in the right realm of the “Land of Lost Souls}, thanks dad “Zeus” and looks right because a storm was brewing blowing guest of winds this quest we will finally get to know what we are doing here. Tanis said; from the Sorcery University {Flint Fireflash} was the “Master of the Orbs” and he is very old friend that was murdered. So you see that is our quest are you in or are you out this is the time to say!

So you see that is our quest are you in or are you out this is the time to say!

Well it is midnight by now, “Angeni” is still having issues with the nightmares and remembering what her dad said having a {long talk with Raistlin}! Since Raistlin has trouble sleeping, she also went to the tent where Raistlin was and asked if we could talk? Making coffee for us, putting more wood on the firepit and this is my nightmare. Was deep in the forest, because I refused to go to {Half-Blood Camp University} things started talking supernaturally because I have Druid powers such as magical arts as shapeshifting to communicate with the unknown and that was my first mistake. A gust of wind blew, the fire was almost out so I put another log in the firepit and continued telling my tale of woes. Then the gang started to wake. Have to finish the tale later. Making breakfast for the gang. Putting more wood on the firepit. Then cleaning up, out of nowhere came a flash of lighting and then the wind started to blow with the clouds changing color. Then the dark elf that is Raistlin’s friend stepped out of the shadows and said: {time to come to the ancient elven homeland}. The answer has to be “No” already on a quest.

“Dragon Orbs Foul Play” is about to come in the clear and the flash of lighting came out of nowhere again. We were scooped up and in the middle crime scene. {Flint Fireflash} was the “Master of the Orbs” body was missing and one of his students said: {Raistlin, since the master was missing, need you to find Mr. Fireflash to fix this realm}. The dragon orbs are glowing. This type of dragon orb was different. It was small in size, the color was black and had a piece of paper sticking out of it. Only one word was written on Help! Tasslehoff's sticky hands picked up another orb it quickly changed shape and turned into a snake. Tasslehoff dropped it. Tanis chaptered the snake, put it in a jar and we all left the room to find more clues. It took two day and a half. You will never believe where {Flint Fireflash} the Master of the Orbs was! {Flint Fireflash} was in the dark room. My old friend {Flint Fireflash} what is going on? You sent us this quest when you were in the dark room. Is that a joke? What is really going on? There is a quest really. Just one of the Land of the Lost Souls, took the Orb of Dragons and released the {White Dragon} loss.

Captured the “White Dragon” setting the realms right and keeping the promise that was made when we were Sorcery University. {Flint Fireflash} the Master of the Orbs will never forget all your bravery, you all are Hero's. As the good book says. On that note as we were saying our goodbyes. A whirlwind picked up “Angeni” this is where the nightmares are about to come out in the opening. All at once the {Ghouls, ghosts, goblins and even the supernatural}. Where is this realm? All is revealed that my nightmares are spilling out and revealing my secrets. My friends gathered around and said “Angeni”. What is going on? There is something I have to say!

It starts off with; you all were in Sorcery University and I was at Camp Half Blood because I am Half-Demigod druid” told you that I was different. I wasn’t allowed to be at Sorcery University with you all and my dad {Zeus} said I had the duty as a princess to fulfill. I ran away from my problems, I know you all are my closest friends and you would have kept my secret. Before I go on. Let's set up camp and make a fire. I am tired of running from my problem, “Angeni” said. My friends here, is the whole truth. Was preparing for the worst battle that has happened in the Half-Blood demigods world and as a princess my job was to fight to {keep the secret of demigods} from the mortals. Once that I left the mortals forgot and moved on as normal people can. I thought I was doing the right thing by leaving. That was a mistake. Running from the problems made the mortal world see that there was a fantasy world and the skeletons came out of the closet anyway.

So there it is, you know my story. That is what I was trying to tell you, Raistlin. My demons are out and wreaking havoc on the mortals. Well my friend, good thing you have us. You are all the best friends anyone can ask for! I said. Well we are here in the Land of Lost Souls and let's fight these demons and put this world back to it’s real time to be what we all expect to be normal. Finding the right demons from the past is not going to be easy and not going to be that exciting as Tasslehoff has found the hard way! Tasslehoff went a little far back in the forest at the campsite and the trees were whispering then a branch reached out and grabbed Tasslehoff. Screaming at the top of his lungs, the gang ran to his rescue and you see there is nothing we can’t do anything if we put our minds together.

We will put it right Laurena said to “Angeni” also there is also something you all need to also know? When I was at Camp Half-Blood, that was my uncle and we needed to speak with {Perseus Jackson} “Angeni” said. Can we pack up camp and go to Camp Half-Blood? We used the time warp to travel to the camp. “Angeni” calling out Perseus Jackson, what is it a harsh tone spoke. It’s my uncle, “Angeni” said. My friends are here to ask for your help? We all know “Angeni”, we have been preparing for this for some time. Changed to my war outfit, as a princess/demigod druid, my whole training came back to me and we all went back to the time loop to the Lost of the Land. One by one we defeated my nightmare. All was put into place and immortals and mortals can live in harmony. Gang, can I have a moment to speak with my uncle. Can I say thank you for all your help? You can say “Angeni”, but know that your father heard and his message is: {proud of you “Angeni”, don’t forget will always be here for you always}! Perseus Jackson said stay in touch.

Finally we are back at my cabin, no talking was done and the only thing done was my friends all falling asleep. Except Raistlin and myself grabbed a pot of coffee, put wood in the firepit and sat in silence for about an hour. Silence broke when Laurena said sorry to wake you both but had to leave. Remember my old friend if you ever need me send {Jareth} and will swoop in. Tanis woke shortly after that and said, also Raistlin saw me out! Tasslehoff and Athena left together because Athena was in charge. Tasslehoff returned the magical stone back to the wizard and left me with Raistlin to catch up. The clocks all stopped, “Angeni”, asked, ``Did you do that Raistlin? His reply was yes. Why? We have to finish our conversion that we had when you left me to go to the Half-Blood Camp! We know that we will always have each other back, we are the best of the best friends, you asked if {I could love you even if you are a demigod/ druid} you left before I could answer! That is why? I stopped the clocks and now I am going to answer you “Angeni”.

Raistlin said; {just be yourself} that is what I love about you and know that you will always have my heart “Angeni” that has been what I have been wanting to tell you since we left parting ways and know that you know that you feel the same way! I do, “Angeni said. Kissing as the door closes. The next few months we both were at camp half-blood training and defeating orcs, monitors even KRONOS (Cronus) the King of the Titans and the god of time.

But before I end this story about my heroes there is something that all have to hear.

In 2016 I had a double stroke and my heroes are all doctors, nurses, and all the specialists but most importantly my family! If it wasn’t for any of you I wouldn’t be here! So from my heart and soul “Thank you”! For giving back my life. Good night.
