As soon as Diana left to the patio, Sofia darted to the forbidden room where she had seen the marvelous bag of unprecedented intrigue. Sofia was young, but in all her years she had never ever seen anything as majestic and as amazing as the small green glowing balls in the purple silk drawstring bag. It passed by Sofia so quickly, she barely had a glimpse! However, that was all it took. She had never been more enchanted.

Sofia formulated a plan long before Diana took to the patio to serve the elders refreshments. She had long known that that particular day would would not be like any other day. Sofia had reached her limit. Playing make believe with Diana was Sofia’s favorite of all time. However, Sofia had made her choice. She tip-toed towards the forbidden room. It's large door seeming larger than before. She placed her small hand on the large crystal knob, closed her eyes tight and turned it as she pushed on the heavy door. When she opened her eyes she was startled by the large, vast, expansive room. It seemed larger than their ball room down stairs. She wished she had more time to explore.

She began to scan the room for the drawstring bag. She spotted the silky bag and ran to grab it. Sofia's excitement betrayed her as she let out a shriek. Pouring the small bags contents into her palm she noticed they were not balls or marbles at all, but small spheres. She quickly grabbed one, putting the rest back in their bag and putting the bag back in its place. She then turned around and quietly tipped toed back out the door while keeping a tight grip around the tiny, beautiful, vibrant, glowing sphere. It even felt like magic, actual magic!

She closed the door behind her but as she took her first step towards her chair Diana appeared at the door. Quickly her eyes locked on Sofia who was not where she had left her. Sofia’s eyes fell to the floor and she felt her stomach drop as Diana glared at her. Diana was always so hard on her, once she had refused to speak to Sophia for the longest three hours after Sofia made loud screeching noises with her chair during a boring elder led worship. Just being out of her place was enough for Diana to reprimand Sofia in some way. She gripped the green glowing sphere tighter and swallowed her breath wondering what Diana would do if she discovered what she had actually done as Diana stared at her younger sister wondering what Sofia had done.

Sofia opened her mouth to say something but before she found her words Diana was in front of her putting a finger up to her lips

“Shhh!” Diana shook her head, her eyes wide and motioning her head towards the elders and guardians still gathered outside on the patio. Relieved that no one had noticed the activity inside, Diana moved her finger away from her mouth and pointed up.

“I’ll meet you upstairs.” Diana whispered to Sofia who was frozen still in shock. “Now.” She whispered a little louder.

Sofia snapped out of it and quickly made her way to the stairs as Diana tried to figure out a way to leave her role serving the elders. She was finally taken seriously enough to be able to enter their sacred gatherings. She wasn't a little girl anymore, asked to keep out and keep away. Now she was going to act like an undeserving clutz and asked to be excused from her position. Diana grabbed the next tray to be served and bounced it, covering the front of her white dress in red wine and fruit stains.
