Gold or Glory

Ryan worked day and night, chasing wealth with all his might.

He climbed the ranks, he made his way, counting dollars every day.

A mansion high, a car so grand, but no real friends to lend a hand.

One day, he met an old school mate,

A teacher now, with a humble fate.

"Still working hard?" Ryan asked,

The teacher smiled, his joy unmasked.

"I earn respect, not just gold,

I touch young minds, help them unfold."

Ryan laughed, "But wealth is key!

Money makes the world, you see!"

Years went by, Ryan grew old,

Surrounded by riches, yet feeling cold.

The teacher, though, was loved and known,

In hearts of many, his kindness shone.

On his last day, Ryan sighed,

"What did money buy?" he cried.

No one near, no hand to hold,

Just empty rooms and walls of gold.

But in a school, a class stood tall,

Remembering the man who gave his all.

Moral Wealth may buy comfort, but respect earns a place in hearts forever.
