Glen Valley Vengeance
A superhero origin story

Bobby Burns was the most vicious bully at Glen Valley High School. His bullying went beyond noogies, wedgies, and purple nurples. Bobby was creative. He once sabotaged a kid’s college application to Juilliard with phony information.
That kid was Allen Anderson. Allen was a straight-A student and a talented musician. Bobby had targeted the poor kid since they were freshmen, tearing up his sheet music and snapping his violin bow in half.
“Jealousy,” is what Allen’s mom called it. She wanted her son to turn the other cheek, be the bigger man. Bobby’s abuse continued for years, but Allen began to see light at the end of the tunnel with admission to Juilliard. His grades and extracurriculars made him a shoo-in.
When the rejection letter came, Allen was devastated, but he was certain that Bobby Burns was responsible. He decided to confront his bully once and for all.
They met on a windy afternoon at Lookout Point. Bobby delighted in telling Allen how he’d snuck into the admin’s office and switched the applications. Allen flew into a rage. He shoved Bobby as hard as he could. But the impact of Allen’s delicate hands only made the bully laugh. When Bobby shoved back, the waif went stumbling backwards right over the edge of the cliff.
The authorities ruled it an accident, but Bobby was never the same. He dropped out of school and took the graveyard shift at a warehouse. But the past would not let him hide. One night he heard a familiar musical refrain echoing through the warehouse.
Allen’s spirit had come to haunt his tormentor, but the regret in Bobby’s eyes spelled opportunity. This time Allen would take charge, turning Bobby into the vigilante known as ‘Glen Valley Vengeance,’ doling out justice for victims of bullying and abuse.

Ha! Great story, Leslie. It is time to avenge all those wedgies, purple nurples and noogies -- Allen style!
Brilliant work!
I know what's a wedgie but what are noogies and purple nurples? Poor Allen 🥺 Loved your story!
Working moral alchemy upon the bully is surely the height of heroism!
At least something good came out of it in the end. Well done.
