Get a Life, Chloe Brown
“A Journey to Love, Laughter, and Learning to Truly Live”

🌧️ Meet Chloe Brown
Chloe Brown is a smart, sarcastic, and super-organized woman in her early thirties. She’s a web designer who works from home, drinks lots of tea, and loves warm, soft clothes. She also lives with chronic pain from a condition called fibromyalgia.
Chloe is used to planning everything. Because of her illness, she avoids surprises, risks, and especially emotions. She’s learned to live carefully, safely… but not fully.
Then one day, something unexpected happens.
Chloe has a near death experience when a car almost hits her while she’s walking. That moment changes her perspective. She realizes that although she’s been alive, she hasn’t really lived.
So she makes a list.
📝 Chloe’s “Get a Life” List
It’s not a normal to do list. This one has things that scare her or challenge her to enjoy life more. Here’s what she writes:
Move out of her family’s house
Ride a motorcycle
Go camping
Have meaningless but enjoyable sex
Travel the world with only a carry-on bag
Do something bad
She’s already crossed off the first item: she’s moved into her own apartment. But now, she needs help with the rest.
Enter: Redford “Red” Morgan.
🎨 Meet Red Morgan
Red is the building superintendent he fixes things, keeps the building safe, and paints beautiful art in secret. He’s tall, tattooed, and seems like the total opposite of Chloe. He’s easygoing, messy, and flirty.
But Red is also hiding something. He’s healing from a toxic, emotionally abusive relationship that left him feeling small and broken. He’s kind but guarded. He’s trying to rediscover himself, just like Chloe.
When Chloe asks for his help completing her list starting with “do something bad” he says yes. But neither of them is ready for what comes next.
❤️ From Enemies to Lovers
At first, Chloe and Red don’t get along. They tease each other, argue, and get under each other’s skin. Red thinks Chloe is uptight. Chloe thinks Red is too casual.
But underneath their surface differences, they see something deeper: pain, resilience, and a hidden desire to be understood.
As they spend more time together, Chloe learns to let go and laugh. Red helps her try new things and take risks, even small ones like climbing a tree or camping in the park. Chloe, in return, reminds Red that he’s more than his past and that his art and his heart still matter.
They fall in love not suddenly, but slowly, beautifully.
Their love is built on mutual care, honest communication, and respect for each other’s trauma and boundaries.
💥 When Feelings Get Too Real
Just as everything seems perfect, insecurities start creeping in.
Red is afraid he’s just a project to Chloe another item on her list. Chloe is scared Red will eventually think she’s too complicated to love. Old wounds make them doubt each other, even though the love is real.
A misunderstanding drives them apart.
But they don’t stay apart for long.
Red realizes Chloe is more than her list. He misses her voice, her smile, her stubbornness. Chloe, after taking some time to reflect, understands that she does want a full life and Red is part of that life.
They talk, really talk, and they rebuild their relationship with honesty, forgiveness, and lots of love.
🌅 Happily Ever After… Kinda
In the end, Chloe doesn’t just “get a life.” She finds her life. A life full of adventure, self-acceptance, and love. She and Red support each other’s dreams, respect each other’s boundaries, and keep learning together.
Their story isn’t perfect but it’s real, warm, and full of second chances.
💡 Moral of the Story
You don’t need to be perfect to be loved you just need to be you.
Chronic illness, trauma, and heartbreak don’t define who you are but healing is possible with love and patience.
Sometimes, the scariest things lead to the most beautiful changes.
Life is meant to be lived not just survived.
