FruFru and Pootzygirl
Comic Book #1: Victims of Circumstance

Frufru was born in Yonkers, New York. Pootzygirl was born in Thonotosassa, Florida. Frufru was raised by European immigrants who were naturalized Americans. Pootzygirl was orphaned at a young age and grew up with guidance counselors and guardians. Frufru went to Fashion and Design school and was the Personal Apprentice of Cruella Deville. Pootzygirl took classes at many different schools learning from many teachers and considered herself a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. Frufru wears the most expensive name-brand garments, drives the most expensive cars, always has her hair, make-up, fingernails, and outfit, worn to perfection. Pootzygirl forgets she has hair, loves a good cape, and is happy when she has a comfortable pair of shoes that make her feet happy. Frufru likes gourmet restaurants and shopping at elite specialized boutiques. Pootzygirl likes art and beauty, and feels satisfied when she can accomplish fulfilling a need without complications or heartache. Frufru is scared of animals that are not pets like cats or dogs. Pootzygirl loves all animals and prefers being outdoors if the weather allows. Frufru thinks everything said or written is just nonsense. Pootzygirl thinks everything said or written is absolute truth. (In the comic book depictions of these two characters, Frufru is depicted as the "Villain" and Pootzygirl is depicted as the "Hero".) The writer does not think of them that way. The creator of these two characters is a "Bipolar" woman, who struggles with her own "Frufru" self, and her own "Pootzygirl" self, every day.
Comic Book #1: Victims of Circumstance
The year is 2020. Frufru is sitting in a NYC hospital room holding Cruella Deville's hand as she is dying. Frufru is sad knowing that Cruella has taught her everything about the business and fashion world and that Frufru's life is going to be very different without her mentor. Cruella has left the business and her Manhattan condo to Frufru.
Split Screen.
Pootzygirl is sitting in a beautiful garden in Florida playing with her cat and her two dogs. She's talking to the cat while the dogs are running around the garden. The cat walks off, and a dragonfly gets close to Pootzygirl as if he wants to tell her something important. Pootzygirl listens to the dragonfly, then looks at the dogs as if she is confused.
Back in NYC.
Frufru is in her new condo where rooms of boxes are surrounding her. Some of the boxes are filled with Cruella's things that Frufru is having sent to a storage unit. Some of the boxes are filled with Frufru's things that she had brought from her last apartment. She sits down on a couch and we see her thoughts. She is reminiscing about the day when she first met Cruella. Frufru was only 21 years of age, she was hungry, ambitious, and naive. Cruella was almost 60 when they first met. Cruella was the epitome of success according to most New Yorkers --- she was Frufru's role model. When Cruella officially made Frufru her Personal Apprentice, Frufru knew that Cruella had set up her destiny.
Back in Florida.
Pootzygirl walks through a long field of trees (oaks, pines, and palms) to get to her her little mobile home which is parked on a hidden half-acre lot that she purchased a year previous. She's painted flowers and butterflies and happy faces all over the tiny RV to make it look like a whimsical cottage. As she gets closer to the door of the RV, she notices the dog bowls set in front of the doggie tent are empty. She fills the bowls with kibble and water, then goes into her little cabinesque RV. It's quaint, basic, and comfy inside. She is an efficient minimalist artist. She has a small computer area, a small bed, a small kitchen area, and a small bathing area. One would not suspect that all her basic needs could be met in such a small "container". She pours some water in a big washbowl and washes her hands and face, then brushes her teeth. She sits on her unmade bed with a banana and pear, and eats her breakfast enjoying the sunlight rays shining through the cracks of her two small windows.
Back in NYC.
Frufru is crying looking at pictures of Cruella. She knows she is supposed to be excited for all of her dreams coming true, but she is going to miss her mentor and best friend. She feels lonely and lost and she knows that Cruella would be ashamed of this emotional display. She sets the photos down on the marble coffee table, and walks to the balcony which overlooks the city. The condo is on the top floor of the building, and the view of the city is astonishing. The sun is rising and a golden hue shines on the mirrored skyscrapers. People are buzzing about as usual down below. Frufru wipes the tears from her face, takes a deep breath, and decides that she will give herself one day to mourn before she jumps back into the daily business grind. Cruella died yesterday, on a Sunday, at the hospital. Only Frufru came to see her. Only Frufru cared. Others had said terrible things about Cruella out of envy or spite or grudge. They didn't know Cruella the way Frufru knew.
Back in Florida.
A cellphone rings. Pootzygirl can't remember where she put her cellphone. At the third ring, Pootzygirl finally finds her cellphone under her pillow.
"Hello?"
"Is this Katie Jackson?"
"No, you have the wrong number."
Pootzygirl sets the cellphone on the cellphone stand and grumbles about telemarketers. Then she opens up her laptop and looks at the various crafts and paintings that her artist friends have displayed on the art gallery website where shoppers buy from artists all over the world. Pootzygirl wonders if there is any craft or artwork that she could create that would be appealing to anyone out there.
The cellphone rings again.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Poo, howya doin?"
"I'm okay, restless, a little lonely, but I'm okay."
"What are you doin today?"
"Not much, and you?"
"Same ol same. Just thought I'd check on ya and say hi."
"That's nice, thanks."
