Friendship destroyed because of love

-

By Evans_Published 2 years ago 1 min read

Once upon a time, in a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business, there were two best friends named Jake and Emma. They were inseparable since they were kids, sharing everything from toys to secrets. They laughed together, cried together, and basically did all the friend stuff together.

Now, Jake had a secret crush on Sarah, the new girl in town. He thought she was the coolest thing since sliced bread. But here's the twist: Sarah was Emma's cousin. Yep, small world, right?

Jake couldn't hold in his feelings any longer, so he decided to spill the beans to Emma. He thought she'd be cool with it, being his best bud and all. But oh boy, was he wrong.

Emma's smile froze the moment Jake confessed his crush on Sarah. She went silent for what felt like an eternity, and Jake could practically hear his heart pounding like a drum solo.

Finally, Emma spoke up, her voice trembling with hurt. She told Jake how she had feelings for him all along, how she thought they were meant to be more than just friends. But now, with Jake swooning over Sarah, it felt like a punch to the gut.

Jake was torn. He didn't want to hurt Emma, but he couldn't deny his feelings for Sarah either. It was like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Things got awkward real quick between Jake and Emma. They went from being joined at the hip to barely speaking to each other. Every conversation felt forced, every laugh sounded hollow.

And just like that, their once unbreakable bond shattered into a million tiny pieces, all because of love. They say love conquers all, but in Jake and Emma's case, it tore apart the very thing that held them together: their friendship.
