Free Chair!
I see the sign taped to your back as I step outside to grab the mail. Your black leather and white roller wheels. You’re obviously of high quality.
Why would anyone leave you on the sidewalk in the hot sun?
But what perfect timing! I’ve needed a new desk chair for months, borrowing my roommate’s while she uses one with a broken seat.
I quickly run over and, after a brief inspection, I push you toward our apartment door, which is luckily on the ground floor.
After getting you inside, I wipe you down with a wipe and swap out the chairs.
“Where did you find that?”
I grin, “It was sitting outside our apartment building.”
“Oh, wow.” She eyes it for a moment. “Good find.”
“I know, right?”
Smirking, she goes into her room and pushes out the broken gaming chair. Then she takes my former chair to its new home.
Afterward, we push the broken chair out to the dumpster, which isn’t too far away.
Getting back inside, I sit on you, open up my laptop, and get to work.
