“As humans, we take so much for granted, yet there are red flags thrown at us constantly, those we choose to ignore.”
I stand upon the stage, lecturing the audience, knowing they won’t listen.
“We need to be more mindful of how we treat our planet, because Mother Nature is getting angry. She’ll crush us like the bugs she sees us to be, as we trample her planet.
This thought alone should be enough to make every single one of us tremble in our boots.”
With that last comment, set to incite, I thank the audience and leave the stage.

This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble Drop challenge and today's random word, that must be included in the drabble, is 'tremble'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
