Like zhu Ziqing "Lotus Pond Moonlight" plot, after his wife fell asleep, I quietly closed the door, went out. Different from the great writer, he looked at the lotus pond, and I wanted to see the fireflies.

During the dinner, listen to a few fellow friends said, here at night can see fireflies.

Fireflies, something I remember as a child, haven't seen for decades. I decided to give it a try tonight and see if I could succeed.

It was already late at night. On the road leading to the rice field, a street lamp dozens of meters apart gave out a dim light, and there were no pedestrians on the road. Several farmers around had already retired early and had no lights. Only the noisy croaks of frogs, cicadas and the occasional distant barking of dogs made me truly feel the familiar rural night scene.

It should be said that the owner of the "One Water room", Mr. Zhan, is also considerate, and built a slightly ancient guesthouse near the water. The room is filled with all kinds of pottery vessels and books, creating a quiet and good place away from the hustle and bustle for the city people living in reinforced concrete. Among the rice paddies between houses, there is also a unique walking path, which is convenient for people to get close to nature. Where is the "one water room"? This point really stumped me, I only know in Wuyi.

The fields of rice, knee-high and green, without a speck of color, like a green carpet spread over the earth, were a daytime sight. At this time of the night, the paddy fields were dark, and there was a slight rustle of rice from an occasional breeze.

Walking slowly on the walking path, hoping to find the firefly in my heart, but finally disappointed and returned, and did not find the light in my memory.

Just as I returned to my apartment and was about to step through the door, I suddenly saw a bright light moving slowly by the side of the stream. Ee-is it a firefly? I excitedly forward, catch a look, it is firefly. Under the street lamp, the yellow bug is still struggling, and the butt is shining with fluorescence, which is very lovely.

One, two, three... I saw more bright spots flying. A closer look at the stream, the stars a large, stretching forward and backward, like the Milky Way in the sky, mottled, breathtaking, let me very excited.

"The original here tryst meeting, worship marriage ah!" I said to myself.

After checking the data, I realized that fireflies like to live and breed near water or in a humid environment, and have high requirements for water quality. Those days the paddy fields just drained, no wonder I didn't see them there, and there were so many by the stream. I did not verify the origin of the place name "Yishuijian", however, named after water, seems to want to tell the world that the water here is good.

People often associate fireflies with children, beauty and hope, giving them warmth and romance. I particularly like the firefly in the Night by Chen Ang, a famous modern poet. "I am the firefly in the night/small and weak/I long to drive out the darkness around me/I long to live with all the bright things..." The poet uses "firefly" as a metaphor to vividly depict an active and aspiring "college entrance examination student" image.

These days are the annual college entrance examination season, the firefly with hard work of the college entrance examination students, but also appropriate image. Insects are small and weak, do not compete with the sun and the moon, not with time, but in the night shining bean light, eager to disperse the darkness around, this is not the portrayal of students?

Back to the room, see his wife still sound sleep, sleep inconvenient to wake her up. Still aftertaste just see hear, let thoughts fly.
