And so, today’s story comes to an end.”

Abraham’s father finished speaking and fell silent, expecting that Abraham, as usual, would ask him questions about the story.

However, today was different. Abraham, resting his head on his father’s shoulder, had fallen into a deep sleep. He must have been incredibly exhausted from the day’s hard work, having never worked so hard before. Still, his father was astonished that Abraham had listened to the story until the end despite his exhaustion.

“And so, Abraham’s father also fell into bed beside Abraham, as fatigued from the day’s work as Abraham was.”

The next morning, Abraham’s father woke up early. He had to go to work and also needed to send Abraham to school. He quickly got involved in these tasks.

Abraham, however, was still in a deep and peaceful sleep, lost in dreams about the future of the garden.

Abraham’s father started his day by focusing on the garden, completing the tasks he had left unfinished from the previous day. He decided to tackle these tasks first.

A New Challenge for the Father

“The next morning, as the sun’s first rays arrived, they brought new stories and mysteries, and took away many wonderful tales as well. Among these countless stories was the golden life of Abraham and his father, moving forward with new hope every moment. Abraham was an extraordinary and mysterious child, whose words and imaginations often puzzled his father. His father wanted to nurture Abraham’s unique talent and was doing everything to help him. And so, the day began, and Abraham and his father went about their daily routines, making the day pass just like the others.”

“It was night once more. They had dinner together as usual and spent some time talking before bed. Abraham’s father would always tell him a new and exciting story each night. But last night, Abraham’s father proposed something different: playing chess, which Abraham eagerly accepted.”

“So today, they were going to start. His father set up the chess pieces on the board and asked Abraham to make the first move. Abraham moved a piece forward without hesitation, and by chance, made the correct move. Seeing this, his father looked at him and said, ‘Wow! You made the right move. I didn’t expect you to get anything right on your first try!’

Both became engrossed in the game. However, Abraham made mistakes repeatedly, and his father kept explaining the game to him. That day, Abraham did not manage to defeat his father even once.

“And his father, in order to make Abraham happy, deliberately did not want to lose. He wanted to see Abraham’s determination—a determination that would eventually defeat him.”

“However, what was to happen next was something he could never have imagined. Over the next three days, Abraham did not win even once. But the seven-year-old child had a determination that was yet to be revealed.”

During these three days, Abraham thought of nothing but chess. He constantly contemplated how to defeat his father. He practiced for hours on end, with his father’s full support, who never told him to stop focusing so much on the game. Abraham was determined to defeat his father within a week.

“Today was the fourth day of their chess games.” This was the day and night when a small child was about to deliver a profound shock to his champion father. He was about to perform a miracle—one that words could barely capture.

As usual, Abraham’s father set up the chess pieces on the board and asked Abraham to make the first move.

“Abraham made his move with great enthusiasm. The game continued for a while.”

“But suddenly, what was this? Checkmate! Abraham checkmated his opponent’s king in just a few moves.”

His father could not immediately comprehend what had happened. He rubbed his forehead and eyes, as if trying to bring himself to his senses. The truth was, he had been defeated by his novice son. A child who only recently learned about chess had managed to outplay him within moments of the game starting. He couldn’t recall the last time he had lost at chess. Today, he had been beaten by a player who didn’t even know the game existed a short time ago wai for
