It was prophesied that a child would be born during the Spectral Eclipse, heralding an end to millennia of war.
On the borders of light and darkness, amidst the chaos of war, a child was born. The son of outcasts, he was raised to know the beauty of both day and night.
But when his parents were slain, he learned a new lesson: all beauty has thorns.
With a single family heirloom as his only connection to the past, he was thrust into the ranks of the night.
Learning that it was the Falgean, a mercenary group under the employ of King Leif, who killed his parents fueled an even greater hatred for the beings of light. Quickly rising through the ranks, he excelled in the arts of war and dark magic.
Haunted by the memory of his parents' deaths, a gnawing desire for vengeance grew. Until one day…
“Where…?”
Recollection dawned as clarity returned to his vision. He had been heralded as a hero of the people, the city of Nyxan overjoyed at his return from battle against the Luminiar's forces. But how had he gotten here? Chains rattled against the cold metal of his confines.
“Bren!!”
The realization of betrayal railed against his last twinge of sanity. The needle in his arm led to vials of blood being continuously filled.
“...Pryk’n!”
The scream would have shattered eardrums, his mind racing with terror, fear, and hatred. Lights flickered, the walls rumbled as if a stampede of beasts were charging towards him.
“I have been waiting, Master. Do you now yield to your darkness?” a voice echoed unseen.
Through gritted teeth, his voice rumbled, “I am Se:Dor!”
A chuckle turned into haughty, roaring laughter. “As you command.”
Chains snapped as darkness began to swirl.
“...I will kill them all…”
