Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Then again, how can anyone ever really know things like that? Just because our kind is capable of moving amongst the multiverse freely, couldn’t possibly mean that those on their planets can as well. If they can too, wouldn’t we have bore witness to it at some point during our travels? All of these thoughts swirled around Nuth’s head. He wasn’t very sure how to keep them all in when everyone always considered him crazy for thinking this way. There was no other lifeform out there except us here on Jawnis. At least, that’s what we’re taught.
Jawnis is said to be the only habitable zone in our solar system. Meaning that it is the only planet that allows water, in liquid form, to exist on the surface while in orbit; which makes it extremely important. Water is necessary for the survival of life anywhere. There is no evidence of any form of life that is able to survive without water. Life forms on Jawnis are blessed with the ability to travel across parallel universes, but have yet to encounter any other species as of this day.
Nuth was an average being from the planet Jawnis. Since he was from the Northern region of the planet, he was a lighter tone, just like everyone else in that specific area. Others, from more southern areas, have a more dark complexion. That’s because of the position of Jawnis while in orbit of their star. Nuth had thick, dark hair with a smaller, but very well-toned build. When he focused on anything, he was able to excel tremendously. Lately, he was so preoccupied with his thoughts of other life somewhere, he wasn’t even aware of the issues with the woman he was falling for. He had planned to spend the rest of his days with Sidra, but ever since this thought occurred in his head, Nuth seemed to have been ignoring Sidra more and more.
Sidra was small framed with quite a toned build, herself, with no lack of femanine curves. She had luscious burgundy hair and was a tad paler than Nuth. No one really knows where Sidra was from exactly, but because of her skin tone, no one ever asked either. Sidra was a fickle thing. One minute she would ask questions about Nuth’s wild thoughts of life outside of Jawnis and the next she would be whining about how Nuth does nothing but go on and on about something that “isn’t even real”. She didn’t understand why he just couldn't be happy with what he had here in this moment with her. Jawnis was, after all, full of wondrous lands and they could zoom through the multiverse whenever they pleased.
Nuth knew there was much more out there and couldn’t dissipate the thoughts from existence. Sidra has had enough of his other world antics and knew it was time she walked away from him for good. When she met at their spot along the luxurious cascades in their hometown of Phi,she planned on breaking things off with Nuth. Just as she had expected, he did not take the news rather lightly. This being felt like his entire world crumbled all around him. He just refused to accept the fact that Sidra would throw everything they have built together for three years away over a mere hypothesis of other planets having life somewhere. It wasn’t a logical enough reason to just give up to Nuth.
Nuth had been under the assumption, for the past three years, that he and Sidra had been building towards a future together. They were even looking to purchase a new lifedome together that they had spoken about raising a family in on numerous occasions. Now, Sidra decides to completely blindside him and just like that, poof, it’s all gone. She had all of her things removed from the dwelling place they had occupied with each other for at least two years before they even met up at their spot. Something felt extremely off about this sudden life altering decision Sidra had made and Nuth had to find out what it could be.
Sidra had been rather closed off for the past few months now that Nuth had a moment to sit and reflect back. He decided that maybe a shift into a parallel universe may lead him to some sort of clue as to why his soul was being obliterated by the only thing that ever really made it feel whole. He thought connecting with an alternate Sidra would help him better grasp what was happening to his life. That proved completely pointless though. Next, he would track down his best friend, Troza, and see if he could help offer a little insight into what has led up to this deplorable event.
Troza was originally from the southern region, so he was darker toned than Nuth and far more darker than Sidra. His parents had moved around the corner from the lifedome that Nuth had grown up in when they were only of an adolescent age. Troza was of big stature and very muscular. He had no hair atop his head, but thick, dark facial hair upon his face. That beard was his favorite thing about himself, besides just about everything else about him. To say he was confident was a complete understatement. Troza knew he was a femanine favorite and it showed. He was a favorite to most anyway; most except Zali.
Zali was around the same height as Sidra, but much thicker with her curves. She was loud and had very long and shiny pink hair. Zali was originally from Phi, so she was about the same tone as Nuth. She is extremely full of herself and loves attention from everyone around her. Good or bad, it didn't matter to Zali, as long as it’s about her. She was Sidra’s best friend and absolutely despised Troza. He swore it was because she was in love with him; that or jealous. She honestly couldn’t stand him for the simple fact he took attention away from her. She would always try to pull attention back to herself when Troza would enter the room and all hell would usually break loose. Zali and Sidra met at a pubescent age while at Zali’s first job. Zali was extremely nervous that day. Hard to believe now, but she was very quiet and reserved. That was until Sidra came along. She was already working at the Sky Jam Theater for about six months prior to Zali being hired. She taught Zali not to be afraid to open up and say what she thinks and feels. Some could argue that she taught her a little too much and some wish she never taught her anything at all. Troza is number one on that list.
Nuth was in pure disbelief over this complete abandonment from Sidra and needed answers. All alternate Sidra’s that he had come across were way off from his own. There’s no way you can figure out anyone based off of their alternates in other universes. You could spend an eternity shifting to other universes until you stumble into one almost identical to yours. Then again, that may never even happen. Nuth sat with Troza over at his place just staring into space, almost in a daze. He couldn’t just allow Sidra to slip away after all they had experienced with each other. Sidra was the only other thing in his world that made him want to do better, work harder, and be something big. She hadn’t been the same lately and there is no way possible that she was done with him over something of complete fantasy to most beings.
Just then there was someone basically banging down the door. They were pounding so hard upon it that Troza was about to run straight out of the back door and not come back quite a while. That was when he heard it. The high pitched, extremely high toned pitched voice of Zali, “Troza!!!! You need to open this door right now!!!!! Do you hear me? I am NOT playing with you!!!”. Nuth and Troza’s jaws dropped in disbelief that Zali was the one at the door and that she even knew where Troza stayed. Nuth walked over to the door and opened it. Like a flash of lightning, Zali burst through the little crack that Nuth made appear like a full-throttle rocket bursting through an atmosphere during a space launch. She barrelled straight into Troza screaming at the top of her lungs, “IT’S SIDRA!!! IT’S SIDRA!!!”. “What is Sidra, Zali?! What???”, Nuth yelled back to her. Zali turned towards Nuth, almost as if she was in shock to see him standing by the door, and screeched, “She…she’s extraneous! SIDRA IS AN ALIEN!!!!”.
