Emotions and ideas of a Rainbow

Colors of the Rainbow

By Tabitha HinkleyPublished about 18 hours ago 4 min read
My own picture of a double rainbow in the The Gorge in Oregon

“The rainbow has such a beautiful tint to it. The colors permeate into my very soul.”

“What do you mean permeate?”

“The red seeps into my skin with anger, enjoyment, love, and life. Red is a strong color that makes me dance inside with desire. It gives me the energy of love but says hello I am dangerous. It brings excitement. Makes your heart rate go up quickly and can contribute to arousal in ourselves. Red stresses the intensity of the positive and negative thoughts that corrode our very being. Red prompts quicker decisions in us that can be rash decisions at times. In Africa red can symbolize mourning and death of life.”

“What does orange make you feel? Is it a soul eating alien?”

“It gives me the creativity in my brain to give the answer to your question you are trying to stump me with. It gives me the happiness in my heart to live life to the fullest and the excitement to know that you can always attain and reach for that happiness for yourself. Orange makes me feel warm and cozy, like getting a hug from a soft band of color.”

“Yellow is the next color of the rainbow, and I see nothing but sunshine what are you seeing.”

“Yellow definitely gives me the warmth and happiness of sunshine to help you understand the warm feeling inside from being human. The color yellow makes me energetic inside and makes me want to kick up my feet and dance. It makes me want to run around the world leaving my footprints of love. Yellow brings me the joy of memories that I have. It grabs my attention to say here I am I want you to notice me. Yellow also makes me feel anxious and frustrated about things in life that are unplanned or excessive. I can also see yellow being negative in the idea that someone can be such a coward like the lion In the Wizard of Oz.”

“You are making me want to know more about this rainbow. So many evoked feelings and ideas of the colors of the rainbow. Tell me how you see green? Do you only see grass and a green light?”

“Green in the rainbow makes me think of the forest and obviously grass, haha, a vast universe outside. It reminds me to be calm and understanding with those people that are stuck in red or yellow. It does make me think of going on a green light or the renewal of something new. A freshness and tranquility that you cannot get from anything but green. It gives me the picture of a one-eyed-monster and greed of society, the one way I would not want to be. It gives me a feeling of wealth, in money or just in the chaos they call life.”

“I want to hear all about what you think about the next color, blue. You have so many ideas about how a rainbow is and should be. Tell me more”

“Blue automatically makes me think of the ocean or the sky. It also makes me think of tranquility and peace that goes through my heart and soul most days. It gives me calmness like the ocean itself, blue waves crashing against the rocks. Blue gives me order in a world full of chaos. It is an open life full of cleanliness. A chance for my life to take a new and unique direction. Blue is the productivity in the boardroom full of directors ready to make decisions for the day.”

“So many feelings ad pictures of what colors seem to do for your heart. I am excited to hear what Indigo brings to the table.”

“Indigo evokes such good and bad feelings to the forefront of my mind. It makes me think of a beautiful and dark midnight sky full of stars of wonder, of deep calm. A sky full of wisdom and heightened awareness of the world around us and the person of who I am. It brings out inner reflection and spiritual wisdom of life. It brings out the creativity that likes to hide inside of ourselves. A quiet joy and responsibility for who we are and who we are meant to be. It makes me think of theatrical and dramatic moments that are so hard to forget when we go through them. It also makes me feel so isolated inside; so alone and needing the love that is not there. It can at times make me feel so disconnected from who I am and who I want to be.”

“That is so happy and so sad I want to cry. Is that how the last color of violet is going to be? A way to brighten and dull our world?”

“Well violet is red and blue mixed, so it definitely is a mix of good and bad thoughts and feelings when brought to our corneas. The first thing that comes to mind is a sense of royalty and luxury that people constantly desire. A magical journey that teaches us about our deep thoughts in life. It triggers peace around me and stability for everything that is so chaotic of the world. In is mystery of an enjoyable book, intriguing of what will come next. It can also be arrogant and condescending two things that we wish we never had to know. Is the balancing act of life in general.”

“All the colors seem to have so many different meanings yet so many similarities between all of them. At first, I feel drawn to interact with certain people, but my discomfort grows when I start thinking about who they might really be. All the colors give me peace of mind, creativity, blankness, and everything in between. Your words made me think about how colors inspire reflection and connect to everything in our world and lives. How can I feel so connected just by seeing so many colors of the rainbow.”

“The rainbow is the connection of all humans and human life. The rainbow is life and death, understanding the world, confusing the world. The rainbow is my favorite color in the world for me. The rainbow is angels dancing in the world, guiding us through all the chaos and tranquility of love and peace.”
