Dream Catcher

In the depths of your deepest dreams you may find her…

By Kenneth cruzPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the deepest depths of your dreams you may find her. Dressed in white woven fishnet with tribal accents, but she doesn’t always appear in that form. Sometimes she doesn’t appear at all. Sometimes when you find yourself in deep sleep paralysis or sleep walking moving against your will, you might be at her whim. They call her Dream-Catcher.

Lucy Redenfall was an orphan. Daughter to a tribal shaman and a street walker. She spent her nights crying; mistreated and abused. One day she was sent a strange package in it a dream-catcher with a mysterious stone, and a note.

“I know I haven’t been there , but place this above your head and make a wish! With powers from a far your wish shall be granted!”

That night she placed the dream-catcher above her bed and wished. Through sobs and tears she wished two things. She wished to be able to know her parents and the world. She wished to be able to travel it at a whim and have power over it.”

The first night nothing happened. She disregarded the object as a trinket or prank, but on the second night as she fell asleep she felt herself being sucked away in the form of an hawk.

First she soared to her mom, and saw a ghastly site of a drugged up woman being abused, trafficked, and raped. Next she visited her dad just in time to see his final moments. As mob members tortured and killed the shaman she vowed to have vengeance.

Learning that she had been gifted with ability to enter people’s dreams, control their actions while they sleep, teleport to anyone’s dream, and turn into a hawk. Lucy decided to go by the moniker Dream-Catcher and change the world one dream at a time.
