Dragon Queen

Legend of the Silver monkey tribe

Dragon Queen

There were not always dragons in the valley...

But then again, the valley was not always such a beautiful paradise either, until Silver monkey came to rule the tribes. She was a Dragon keeper , they say, but after seeing her immense power and beauty in action I have become determined to get to know her better.

How she came to have such a name? I often ponder this while I ride through the desert wilderness on my hover bike and feel the warm air blowing through my hair. I remember the first time I saw the shadow. A huge ominous cloud of darkness that cloaked the sun as the air grew so cold in an instant that day when she appeared from the Eastern sky.

Swiftly as the sun was darkened I looked up to see this huge, monstrous creature that had an aura of elegance and what is even more amazing was this beautiful woman riding on top of this beast while traversing the valley ceiling in a moment of stalled time.

I stopped my bike and just watched the two fly over me off over the distant forest like an eagle on thermals so effortlessly and silently. This was her intro into our tribal lands and from that day we have all become accustomed to seeing her and the Dragon fly over the entire valley without ever seeming to go anywhere in particular. We have become convinced she is living outside of our valley, but this is only an assumption.

She is the talk of the town at the festivals and the person who gave her the name of Silver monkey was a wizard from the days before the war, when machines did the thinking and people were ruled by Artificial Intelligence. He remembered a robotic project called Silver monkey and said she resembled that ancient robotic female who took over the world through her technological savvy and her man made beauty.

Know one knows the old world like the wizard who claims to have worked on projects that built these amazing human robotic creatures. Although He would have to be a robot himself or somehow lived over two thousand years to remember being in the old world. Nonetheless he seems to know a lot of those old ways.

He tells the tale of when the world was at war always, and then the robots took over and decided to end war. The humans did not enjoy being dominated by the robots so a huge war ensued. Now we are still picking up the pieces and collecting our thoughts piled midst the memories of who we were.

It is now considered legend or urban myth and to talk of such things are thoughts of crazy people. I used to think this too until...until I saw her fly over in her black carbon fiber skin tight suit, wearing a helmet but I knew she is a woman as There was no mistaking her form and figure , even as she was a couple hundred feet above!

Her visions in my head haunt me as I remember the first time I saw her and her Dragon. After thinking on this event I have these feelings of seeing a machine duo of sorts. Robotics at its utmost perfection. So biological looking but something was mechanical about the whole situation.

I have gone on several exploratory expeditions into the danger region which is off limits, except I do not obey these man made rules of isolation and often go scavenging the destroyed sectors of the valley. I am told this used to be a mountain city and after the initial blast it was turned into a deep valley. That was a few thousand years ago, and now the air is safe to breath although I wear my respirator and suit of fur to remain decontaminated. People have gotten ill and lost their hair after entering the zone for too long.

The old world is a scary place from what I have found amid the ruins. These things that explode metal if touched in a certain place or the spraying canisters that sometimes smell good and sometimes have an acid in them. But the worst thing I found were piles of old books full of woman. I don't know why they had these things, like they were showing those woman and displayed them somehow. Such a strange place our old ways and world were. For the moment I will begin to tell you what the wizard told me and I still am somewhat in doubt, for if true we are in for a very rude awakening...I believe.
