Dragon 2: Pupil of the Mourner
Chapter 6 birthday cake is the tombstone of youth (2)
Manstein slapped himself hard in the face and thought, "I told you, when did those crazy people in the equipment department ever come up with good news? But don't make things so dramatic, okay?
"What kind of alchemical weapon can be misjudged as a nuclear explosion ah ah ah ah ah ......?" The sad cry of the duty professor Manstein echoed in the marble corridor of the library.
"The ...... tactical missile fitted with an alchemical silver warhead, together with mercury refining, nitrous refined from Vesuvius ash, and the blood of the holy infant produces an explosion that can fatally poison the dragons in the central area."
"What's the use of this stuff? How many dragons will go to the depths of the desert and wait for you to blow them up? What if he stays in New York? Let a few thousand people give a dragon a burial? Those ingredients of yours can kill not only dragons but also humans!" Manstein slumped in his chair, "I need to make some calls to settle this ...... I need a little time ......" He suddenly jumped up again and slammed both palms on the table, "I need to make some calls to settle this ...... "Send me someone from the executive department immediately! Send people! Fly someone to the Sahara Desert and clean up the scene for me! Before the Pentagon gets there!"
His roar was overpowered by a tremendous noise, the ground shook violently, and the lights went out and came back on. Manstein fell to the ground, rolled to his feet, rushed to the window, and looked out, and in the darkness of the night, a dark blue flame shot up into the sky. That was the direction of the "ice cellar", the warehouse where the alchemy equipment was stored, where the stuff is hidden there could destroy the earth several times!
"Something's wrong!" Manstein lunged to the center console and grabbed a hammer to smash the glass. Below the glass was the red wrench of a campus-wide alarm.
At that moment the red phone on the center console vibrated, Manstein hesitated, but answered the phone first, this phone straight to the ice cellar, he wanted to find out the situation there, someone invasion? Or an accidental explosion?
"Hello? Who's on duty tonight?" The person on the other side of the phone asked carelessly.
"Manstein, the head of the wind discipline committee! What's the situation?" Manstein was irritated by the tone of his voice. He heard the voice, it was the spokesman of the Equipment Department, where the weapons-obsessed maniacs rarely showed up and contact was entrusted to this unreliable spokesman.
"It's just a normal experiment, a little open flame, everything is under our control," the spokesman was calm, "no need to make a fuss, we are calling on short notice, there is an experiment in the equipment department tonight in the ice cellar."
Manstein's eyes blazed: "Under control? Your equipment department's experiment in the Sahara ......"
"All departments in position! Hydrogen flame ready, let's do it again ......" came the voice of something over the microphone.
"One more time huh? Crazy people, you won't stop until you play with people's lives, will you?" Manstein growled into the microphone, but all he got was a busy beep, the spokesman had already hung up cleanly.
Manstein slowly hung up the phone and sat back in his chair, helpless. What could be done about it? There are some departments in this academy that cannot be offended, and the equipment department is one of them, even if you know that if you let them mess around, the sky will collapse ...... but no one wants to get their hands on new equipment that explodes for no reason the next time they go on a mission or something ......
