Doomed Day

Journal Day 1, apocalypse

Blood. That's what I saw. As she slid down the wall, painting a trail of death as her right hand scratched the air, desperately trying to get a hold of anything she could grab. The last bit of light. The last bit of love. The last bit of life. Her eyes were screaming pain, her facial expression hard to put into words. It was as if she was having a conversation with herself that she was going to be alright, even though her heart knows she’s lying. Her body relaxes, as her mind continues to do its job, and her eyes hold on to the picture inside her peripheral. Letting out a gargled sigh, she hangs her head to the side, defeated but still fighting. Something just won’t let her let up. She’s in insufferable pain and no matter how hard her heart fights for life, her mind objectively pleads for her body to let her soul go. Life slowly creeps its way out of her deepest depths as she slips away, her expression still pleading for her life.

I shake away the thought.

Everyone is hungry, there is nothing left in the stores, and the only way to survive is to do everything we’ve spent our whole lives learning not to do, kill, steal, and destroy. Maybe I'm crazy to think that I can save the world, but then again there are demons in the air. They are on land, in the water, but they are worse in the fire. Trampling and killing everything on site, like something straight out of the bible and every religion and belief that ended the world in damnation. If the bible has some truth, that means maybe religion has some truth. And if religion has some truth, who’s to say myths, folk tales, and fairytales don’t? Who’s to say there hasn't been truths staring us dead in our faces all along? The air beast looks like something out of a Transformers movie, except these beasts were a mix of flesh and metal. The water demons are a sick twist on what we all glorified as mermaids. It’s like we were being warned our whole lives what this day would look like in the most subtle of ways. There were those of us who paid attention and those of us who didn’t believe in the unexplained. Who knows what else is really out there? My mind keeps going back to the story my dad used to tell me growing up. The story about Astria.

Astria, the “key” from Giza. She belonged to the rare Miftah people who were isolated in the sands. Legend has it her people educated the Mayans, preparing them to be used as prophets to warn us of the coming days. When word got out about the Miftah people committing blasphemy against God, they were sought out and killed. Unfortunately so was Astria, who held the key to the first stargate. The key was a heart shaped pendant crafted from an abnormally resistant clear quartz crystal. This was a key to a portal that could save man from our self inflicted damnation. Legend has it that she disappeared at the foot of the first stargate, and only like-minded souls can cross. The stargate was said to have been a portal to the 3-D realm. Some call it heaven, some call it another dimension but I know it as the higher consciousness in physical form. Only souls that have ascended can enter, souls that were as light as a feather.

I have to see if I can find it, find her. I keep having visions that look better than my eyesight, and there's a constant adrenaline rush that feels like cool water that overcomes me everytime I think about it. This has to be what destiny feels like. It’s feeding me hope in a time of distruction, and i’d be stupid not to sit in the eye of the storm for as long as time allows. The locket has to be the key. There are at least 13 stargate portals on Earth alone, each of which have heavy crystal deposits beneath them-- crystals that could be the key to ending all of this. and I'm going to stop at nothing to find out what. The world is waking up and people are searching for an escape. Little do they know it's too late. If you aren’t the ascended, you will be tormented to a life of misery and death. Some have figured it out, those are the ones who happily commit the most atrocious crimes knowing that in this new world justice has no place.
