Don’t Be Quick To Judge
You never know the full story

Sally huffed under her breath, “Would you just look at that little slut!”
We turned towards the young girl who’d just fallen off her bar stool, drunk, as she smiled up at the handsome stranger bending to help her.
I turned to Sally, “Maybe she’s mourning the death of her mother, or maybe, she just lost her job today. Did you ever consider these scenarios?”
Sally laughed. “You’re such a softy Angela. No, she’s just a born slut. I know just by looking at her.”
I glared at Sally, disgusted and angry, “Who nominated you to be judge and jury?”

This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble Drop challenge and today's random word, that must be included in the drabble, is 'jury'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
