Deserted island

Emily's adventure

By Serhat KösePublished 3 years ago 7 min read

It had been days since the plane crash. Emily had washed up on the shore of a small deserted island in the middle of nowhere. She had no food, no water, and no idea how to survive on her own.

For the first few days, Emily spent most of her time searching for food and water. She had no luck with food, but she found a small freshwater stream near the center of the island. The water was cold and refreshing, but Emily knew she needed more than just water to survive.

As the days turned into weeks, Emily started to adapt to her new life on the island. She built herself a shelter out of branches and leaves, and she learned how to start a fire with some dry grass and sticks.

Despite her best efforts, Emily still hadn't found any food. But one day, while exploring the island, she stumbled upon a small pond. As she approached the water, she saw a school of fish swimming near the surface.

Emily had never fished before, but she remembered a documentary she had watched once about survival skills. She quickly fashioned a makeshift fishing rod out of a long branch and some string she had found on the beach. She used a piece of her shirt as bait and within minutes, she had caught her first fish.

Emily was overjoyed. For the first time since the crash, she felt hopeful. She knew that she could survive on the island, even if it meant living off fish and water.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Emily's shelter had grown more elaborate, and she had even managed to make a small garden out of some seeds she had found in her pockets.

But despite her success, Emily still longed for human contact. She had no idea if anyone knew she was alive, and she had no way of signaling for help. Every day, she scanned the horizon for any sign of a passing ship or plane.

One day, while Emily was fishing, she saw something on the horizon. At first, she thought it was a mirage, but as it grew closer, she realized it was a small boat.

Emily ran to the shore and started waving her arms, hoping to get the attention of whoever was on board. As the boat drew closer, she saw that there were two people on board – a man and a woman.

They pulled up to the shore and greeted Emily with a smile. They told her they were on a sailing trip and had seen the smoke from her fire. They had come to rescue her.

Emily was overjoyed. She had survived for months on the deserted island, but she was ready to go home. As she climbed aboard the boat, she turned to take one last look at the island that had been her home for so long.

As the boat sailed away, Emily knew she would never forget her time on the island. It had been a challenging and lonely experience, but it had also taught her that she was capable of surviving on her own. And for that, she would always be grateful.

After being rescued from the deserted island, Emily returned home and resumed her life. However, things were never quite the same. She had been through a life-changing experience that had taught her the value of resilience, self-reliance, and perseverance.

Emily realized that she had developed a newfound appreciation for the simple things in life, such as a comfortable bed, a warm shower, and a full stomach. She also felt a sense of gratitude for the people in her life, including her family, friends, and coworkers.

However, despite her newfound appreciation for the comforts of civilization, Emily still couldn't forget the deserted island. She found herself daydreaming about the sound of the waves, the smell of the salt air, and the taste of fresh fish.

Eventually, Emily decided to return to the island. She wanted to revisit the place that had been her home for so long, and she wanted to see if she could survive on her own again.

This time, Emily came prepared. She packed a backpack full of supplies, including a tent, a sleeping bag, a fishing rod, and plenty of food and water. She also brought a satellite phone, so she could call for help if needed.

As she arrived on the island, Emily felt a sense of familiarity. The place had changed since she was last there, but it still felt like home. She set up her tent near the freshwater stream and started to explore the island once again.

This time, Emily was more efficient at gathering food and water. She had learned from her previous experience, and she knew where to find the best fishing spots and the freshest water sources.

As the days turned into weeks, Emily started to settle into her routine. She spent her mornings fishing, her afternoons exploring, and her evenings cooking her catch over an open fire. She even started to write a journal, chronicling her experiences on the island.

One day, while Emily was exploring the western side of the island, she stumbled upon a small cove. As she approached the water, she saw something floating in the distance.

As she got closer, she realized it was a small boat. She ran to the water and started waving her arms, hoping to get the attention of whoever was on board.

To her surprise, she saw two familiar faces – the same couple who had rescued her from the island years ago.

They had been sailing in the area and had recognized the smoke from her fire. They had come to check on her and see if she needed any help.

Emily was overjoyed to see them again. She spent the next few days showing them around the island and telling them about her experiences. She also used her satellite phone to call her family and let them know she was safe.

As the couple prepared to leave the island, Emily felt a sense of sadness. She had grown accustomed to her life on the island, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to leave yet.

However, as the boat sailed away, Emily realized that she had gained something more valuable than survival skills during her time on the island. She had gained a deeper understanding of herself and her place in the world.

She knew that she could always return to the island if she wanted to, but for now, she was ready to return to civilization and share her newfound wisdom with the people she loved.

After Emily's second trip to the deserted island, she returned to civilization with a renewed appreciation for life. She felt more connected to the world around her, and she had a better understanding of what truly mattered in life.

Emily started to share her experiences with others. She spoke at local schools and community events, sharing her story of survival and resilience. People were fascinated by her experiences, and many were inspired by her bravery and determination.

As a result of her newfound fame, Emily was approached by a publisher who wanted her to write a book about her experiences on the island. Emily was initially hesitant, but she eventually agreed to write the book.

Over the next few months, Emily poured her heart and soul into the book. She wrote about her experiences on the island, her struggles to survive, and the lessons she had learned along the way.

When the book was finally published, it became an instant bestseller. People all over the world were inspired by Emily's story, and she became a symbol of hope and resilience.

Emily used her newfound fame to start a charity organization that helped people who had experienced traumatic events. She used her experiences on the island to help others find the strength and courage to overcome their own struggles.

Years passed, and Emily's book continued to inspire people all over the world. She became a household name, and people everywhere looked up to her as a role model and an inspiration.

Despite her fame and success, Emily never forgot her experiences on the island. She continued to visit the island every few years, sometimes with friends and family, and sometimes alone.

As she grew older, Emily began to feel a sense of urgency. She knew that her time on this earth was limited, and she wanted to make the most of every moment.

She spent her final years traveling the world, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures. She used her experiences to continue to inspire and uplift others, even as her health began to decline.

When Emily passed away, she left behind a legacy of hope, resilience, and courage. Her story inspired countless people to never give up, no matter how difficult life may seem.

And on the deserted island where she had spent so much of her life, a small memorial was erected in her honor. It was a simple plaque that read:

"Emily, the survivor who taught us all to never give up."
