DEATH IS A MYSTERY😔... But IT OFTEN SEND SIGNS BEFORE IT COMES 😔

(Episode 2)

The village of UJUALA was cloaked in an uneasy silence following Elder Nneka's ominous declaration: “Tomorrow, at this same hour, one of you… will not be here.”

That night, the wind carried a chill, and the usual nocturnal melodies of crickets and frogs were absent. The villagers, gripped by fear and curiosity, gathered in small groups, speculating about the meaning behind Nneka's words.

Among them was Chidi, a 12-year-old boy known for his vivid dreams and curious nature. He had always been sensitive to the unseen, often speaking of dreams that later mirrored real events.

That night, Chidi dreamt of a vast, dark river. On its banks stood the villagers, each holding a candle. One by one, their candles extinguished, and they vanished into the mist. When it was his turn, a figure cloaked in shadows approached him, whispering, “Not yet, but soon.”

Chidi awoke with a start, his heart pounding. He felt compelled to share his dream with Elder Nneka. At dawn, he rushed to her compound, finding her already awake, as if expecting him.

After listening intently, Nneka nodded solemnly. “Dreams are the soul's way of speaking truths our minds are not ready to hear,” she said. She then gathered the villagers once more.

“Chidi's dream is a message,” she announced. “The river represents the boundary between life and death. The extinguishing candles signify the fragility of our existence.”

The villagers murmured among themselves, fear evident in their eyes.

Suddenly, an elderly man collapsed, clutching his chest. Despite efforts to revive him, he passed away. Gasps echoed through the crowd.

Elder Nneka stepped forward, her voice steady. “Death has come, as foretold. But let this not be a cause for fear. Instead, let it be a reminder to live fully, to cherish each moment, and to seek understanding of life's final journey.”

The villagers stood in silence, the weight of her words settling over them. Chidi looked up at Nneka, a newfound determination in his eyes.

The journey into understanding death had truly begun.
