I jolted awake. My body was alert and tense. Streams of sweat raced down my back, pooling on a cold metal surface beneath me. My mind lagged trying to grasp my surroundings. On the edge of my consciousness I felt a presence patiently waiting, but right now my main concern was catching my breath. I focused on summoning air from deep inside my diaphragm and drawing it up towards the top of my head. This was the only technique that could, and had, broken the spell of sleep paralysis, which I have endured countless times before.
Although, as the deep breathing started to regulate my nervous system, I could infer this was different. I retained the ability to move. I flexed my right forearm, and then my left. I wiggled my toes and suddenly heard a soft, light laugh; or rather I felt it inside my head. I stiffened in response. I opened my eyes to gain an understanding of my surroundings and perhaps ascertain where the voice had come from. I was in a vast open room, adorned with metallic walls and floors, surely matching the surface I laid upon. Dim lighting shone down strategically from the ceiling, yet amidst the soft glow I was able to make out details of the room perfectly.
“Crystal lighting. Your attention is drawn towards it with every visit.” …Had I thought that?
“No, I am here with you.” My gaze fell upon a being seemingly made out of pure starlight. Agape, my mouth was at a loss. However, my mind was diligently working.
“Be calm, dear one,” the voice commanded gently. My mind obeyed and the windmill of thoughts ceased, leaving one prominent question in its wake. “Who are you?”
“I am Remiel. The Watcher.” The voice was kind, but matter of fact. Sensing my confusion the being continued, “It is my duty to watch over those who have fallen to Earth, the Star Seeds, the Indigo Children… I was at your window tonight, observing.”
That can’t be right, I protested internally, I saw a white barn owl at my window tonight. Remiel interrupted my train of thought, “Yes, dear one, that was I. That is my Earthly form.” Again, sensing my confusion, Remiel continued, “Celestial beings, fifth dimensional beings, angels, aliens all synonymous…it’s easiest for humans if we visit using animal forms.”
But, I can see you now, I thought.
“Ah, yes dear one. We are aboard a light ship now.” With that statement the dim lighting surrounding us pulsed gently, as in response.
“Yes, the ship is alive… in a sense.” Remiel said, confirming my belief.
“All crystals are alive. Humans have known this before and will again, the knowledge ebbs and flows with the generations.” I nodded, Atlantis coming to the forefront of my mind.
“Yes, Atlantis… Lemuria,” Remiel confirmed, with a trace of sorrow. I observed their emotion.
“Sorrow is something you’re familiar with, dear one.” Remiel turned towards me, although faceless, I felt their gaze hold mine. I felt ashamed.
“Please, dear one, I am not here to shame you. I am here to help you.”
I thought back to the moment where the owl appeared in my window. Desperation had filled every corner of that bathroom, sorrow emanated from every pore in my body. Remiel interjected, “Yes, I am here to intervene. I am here to remind you of your directive.”
“You are a soul who has fallen to Earth, you are a Star Seed, an Indigo Child.”
Visions of what seemed to be shooting stars falling from the heavens and landing upon Earth appeared in my mind. Remiel narrated the vision, “Earth is a planet untouched by galactic law, and thus has served as a war zone for beings whom feed off of other’s energies. The human race has unknowingly become enslaved by these beings and caught in karmic cycles, their souls never able to leave Earth.” Pictures of reptilian faces flashed in my mind and I watched them seamlessly morph into humans, unbeknownst to those around them.
“My race has fought to free the humans, but because Earth is a planet of free will we cannot make the changes necessary to save them. That is why many of our race volunteered to reincarnate on Earth. Those who undertook the mission were aware of the grave danger and intense suffering they would potentially bring upon themselves.” My heart swelled as the grief and pain in Remiel’s aura permeated my consciousness.
“You left for Earth… and I stayed, to be The Watcher.”
I was in awe that meant…
“Yes, you are a Star Seed. You embarked on the sacred mission to save the enslaved souls trapped on Earth.”
My life flashed before my eyes, it hadn’t seemed extraordinary to me, quite the opposite.
“Yes, you always felt yourself to be an outcast dear one. That is because Earth is new terrain for you. Your soul in not accustomed to the cruelty of the world, yet is inspired and invigorated by the love and the potential. That is your gift.”
Some gift, I thought.
“Dear one, because you are not accustomed to the cruelty of Earth you stand firm in your belief of good triumphing over evil. You and your fellow Star Seeds believe so fully in goodness, kindness, fairness and love, and fight for it in every aspect of your life.”
I thought back to all the times I had stood up against the unjust and where that had left me; in that bathroom barely clinging onto the will to live. Anguish washed over me as I relived that moment, but simultaneously felt Remiel’s heartache for me.
Every time I stand up for what is right I lose a little more of myself, and my place here in this society. This society fights back against those who speak up for the truth, I thought.
“This is the obstacle the first wave must endure. You are the first of your kind upon Earth you must pave the way. With each kindness you promote and each unjust act you speak up against, you set a precedent for those around you and after you. With each act the collective consciousness grows and the easier it will be for the next wave to initiate change.”
Although, inspired by their words, I still felt the deep ache of sorrow in my heart. Remiel must have suffered it too because they reached out and touched a heavenly finger to my forehead. With that touch I fell back into an abyss, hurtling down until I slammed into my body. I opened my eyes and to my astonishment found myself surrounded by thousands of light beings. I lifted my arm to catch the attention of the being closest to me and realized I too was a light being!
I was in a vast auditorium of sorts, like that of a coliseum. Rows upon rows of angelic beings filled my line of sight. I found myself at one of the top most rows, looking down towards a podium. All attention was drawn to the being at the podium and their thoughts permeated the air. Talk of the Star Seed mission was in full force, when suddenly, I felt a thought directed towards me.
“Ah, Nova, you’re back already.” I looked around, now all attention was cast my way.
“Ah, I see. The Watcher sent you back for a reminder.” The speaker at the podium opened their arms and called out to the group, “Let us remind Nova of their mission!” In response the group clasped hands and radiated. The beings on either side of me held out their hands and I grasped them. Instantly, I was filled with unconditional love saturating every molecule of my being. Tears slid down my cheeks. I reached up to wipe them away, and found myself back on the light ship.
I understand now, I thought.
“Ah dear one, that fills me with such joy.” I could feel Remiel beaming down at me.
“Be well dear one, I love you.” And with that Remiel reached for my forehead and impressed their finger to my brow.
This time familiar with the sensation, I didn’t crash into my body, but caught myself. I steadied my feet and recognized the bathroom around me. I looked out the window, checking for Remiel’s existence. The window was empty, but my heart was full. I walked over to the trash, opened my hand and felt cool metal slide out dropping into the trash. I turned around, walked out of the room and into my future.
