"Bishop are you ok?" Uncle Jessie asked. Bishop gave a nod and kept working. "Alright. I will be here if you need me."
"I do not need you. Go and tend to your farm. You have done more than enough." Bishop said from underneath the old truck. "If anyone tell you wrong, tell them to stuff it." Uncle Jessie gave a gruff of agreeing. He walked off to get to his work that was needed. Bishop went back to think things over. 'How did i get set back in time? 3000 years at that! I do not want to be a regular human again.'
Bishop was from the year 5019. A world of the future that was not as great as every one thought. He did spend a good few centuries in cryo to help things along. He even returned back to his uncles farm. The time after his parents died from lung cancer. It was not odd since both of them met during treatment and got hitched. Bishop was currently 19 and having woken from a medically induced coma to a life out in the country.
'At least some of the things I remember remain. Uncle Jessie works hard. His Wife Lisa worked as a clerk at the County office still. Nothing changed there.' Bishop thought that since his mental tech came with him. It was damaged but still worked well enough to help him. 'I need to figure what went wrong.'
*Carborator fixed to 87% Oil Pan reset in place. Will hold for 93 days. Vechicle operational.*
'I can make some money this way. No need to spend the little money I have going to med school. That shit did not work well. I am not smart enough for that crap. But I can at least live and spend time around helping here to pay back the hard work they did for me. Shit do I owe these people a lot.' Bishop got up and looked the truck over one last time. He removed the fuse that would allow it start and put it in his pocket. "Do need the little shits taking off with this."
The little shits were his cousins. He did remember a lot of problems came from them. The older ones Tammi and Kerri were getting in the typical trouble of youth. The boy Carl was just about to get into drugs because of the two girls. Nothing turned out good for them in the future.
One time he came out of cryo, the girl Tammi had sold the farm. Her parents were in the hospital bedridden from overwork. She was pressured by her girlfriend at the time to do it. Carl went off the deep end since his stash was at the barn.
'I will try to help them but... I do not really like them much. But then again, I was a bit of an ass so.. there is that.' Bishop finished up and walked back to the main house. It was time to enact the next part of his plan. The farm had an old junkyard to the side. A large number of vehicles to make things easier for Bishop's future needs. 'Just need them to sell it to me.'

- Meeting-
.
"Why do you want the old junkyard?" Lisa asked. "I mean you are going to college soon."
"I am not." Bishop stated plainly. "I am going to stay around for a few years actually. The junkyard has been for sale for a while and I have the money to buy it. I will change it up and start changing things of course. Buying the property and everything there sounds like a good purchase for me. Of course, if you say no, nothing I can do about it."
"But you father wanted you to go and continue the medical practice for the family." Jesse said. "What about that?"
"He is dead. Nothing much to be done about that. I do not mean to be so crass... but it is my life. What I do with it is up to me in the end. I know the medical field is not for me after thinking it over." Bishop tried to convey as much feeling as he could, but he kind of failed. 'Haa I do not know how to look sad anymore. Long life did change me. The conflictions with my hormones are also something else. Not to mention.. I long since buried these people.'
"Well.. I say no." Uncle Jesse said. "College is where you belong." His statement did not dismay Bishop at all. "You do not look suprised? You knew I would disagree."
"Correct. It was to be expected. But no matter. I will move out and get a place in town. No reason to really stay here actually. If you need anything in the upcoming years, you can call." Bishop sipped a little sweet tea and thought about a few other options to get money. Ignoring the faces looking at him stunned. 'Hmm, I can do the little bit of massage therapy at the clinic. The certification is not that difficult to get. As well as a means to do a few other things.'
"You are going to move out?" Lisa asked skeptically. She was unprepared for this. "Why not stay on till you leave for college? I am sure you are going to change your mind. We will worry about you if you dont stay."
"I will not." Bishop shrugged. "Not my problem really. You will worry no matter what I do. I am not a pet project for you two. Do not give in to the whispers the townsfolk have given you."
"Bishop!" Uncle Jesse said a little heated. "That is no way to talk about good people!"
"Yes, it is. If they were so good people, the gossip behind your back would not be so ... much." Bishop stared the man in the eye with no issue. "You know it to be true. Do not lie to yourself. Some people are just bad and no amount of denial will change it. Even more reason for me to get out of the house. Difference of opinion and lifestyle choices." Bishop's tone was provoking for good reason. He was trying to make his uncle have a slight heart attack. "It is the reason your daughters are about to get whored out. Those nice people are going to screw them over. The same way they did dad. I am sure you havent forgotten what happened to you both in the barn when you were kids? What old Mrs.Mable did to you two."
"That is enough!" Lisa screeched. She knew what happen to her husband and Bishop's father when they were young. The woman had did some unsavory things to them. She remembers Jesse getting so drunk and telling her about it in vivid detail. He barely recovered the next day. "You can not just say whatever you want Bishop!"
The problem was how did Bishop know? The only other people couldn't clarify if he was told by them so nothing could be done in that regard. It would only cause problems if they knew Jesse said so on his deathbed.
"Ughh." Uncle Jesse grabbed at his chest. "My.. chest.. is burning.."
"You are having a heart attack. You havent been to the doctor in a few years. Stress is getting to you." Bishop had already sent a message to the local hospital when he sipped on the sweet tea. "Stubborn mules like you will never listen to reason." The ambulance could be heard in the driveway.
"You.. id.. this.. on purpose?!" Uncle Jesse gasped out. Bishop gave him a nod with a straight face. "Will I.. be.. ok?"
"Yup. Just need to rest. A force medical one will do just that. Maybe four days before they discharge you. Do not worry about the farm, it will be in good hands." Bishop opened the door and explained to the EMT's. They were suprised about the detail of the man's condition. "Just remember to tell them about your back. I caught that limp you had earlier." Bishop said it mostly for Lisa to hear. She would fret and make sure Jesse gets checked out completely.
"I do not agree with what you did. But thank you." Lisa said before running after the Emt's. Part of her in such shock she barely could comprehend the last few minutes actually. But her husband came first before dealing with bishop. "Take care of your cousins."
"Right.... a little fear to scare them straight." Bishop blinked a little bit and sat back down.
He sent a message to the three about what happened. All three did not come home till about midnight or so. On a school night at that.
"Sup." Tammi said coming in first. She looked at Bishop leaning against the sink and frowned. His posture and demeanor scared her for some reason. 'What is going on with him?' The other two came in and stopped at the door.
"So, you three decided to stay out late and ignore the text. For shame. Your dad could have died and you would not have cared." Bishop stood up straight and rolled up his sleeves. "How do you think that will make your mom feel?"
"She will be fine." Kerri said smugly. The tone of a diva just asking for trouble. She moved in grabbed a drink from the fridge. Her eyes looking at Tammi from the corner of her eye. 'What is her problem?' Tammi was looking at Bishop walking up behind her. "Ugggh!"
Bishop grabbed her in the back of the throat. The fear combined with his strength caused her to freeze up. Carl was to stoned to tell what was going on. He tried to move but just stood in place. The dumbass didn't know the weed he smoked with the dregs was laced with some other shit.
"What.. are.. you.. going to.. do.. to her?" Tammi asked scared. The girl was timid and it showed immediately. It was one of the reasons she fell into a bad crowd. "We.. are family.. you wouldn't.. You will go to jail!"
"The funny thing about that.. your brother is high as a kite. Your sister has some "pills" in her purse and you won't say much. If you do it will not matter what I due to her about time the cops get here. I could cut her up, break a few bones, even strip her naked and take pictures. Send them all to a few people that would pay big money for this." Bishop said darkly as he leaned into Kerri's ear. "Does that sound like fun Kerri? The same thing that happened to you and what you plan doing to some other girls."
"She would not do that!" Tammi said. She saw her sister tremble and was not so sure all of a sudden. "Right?"
"I.. how do you know.. that happened?" Kerri said fighting back the tears. Bishop grabbed her purse and gave it to Tammi to look through. "Who told you?"
"That is a secret." It is not like Bishop could tell her she told him a few centuries from now. She did when coming out of rehab for the upteen time. A small thing she told him that was done over the years. "What they did to you is nothing compared to what they have done to others already." He let her go and stepped back. "They will continue to blackmail you and the others. Do yourself a favor and turn them in."
"They are bad people. What do you think will happen to me if I do?" Kerri said from the floor. The cold air of the fridge making her seem even smaller as she cried helplessly. "What they will do to Kerri and my friends?"
"They will sell the pictures obviously. Big deal." Bishop shrugged. "That is the only thing they have on all of you. Getting you all addicted to drugs will make it easier to get you to do worse. After you are hook going nude for more will make it even easier to manipulate you. That fear and addiction will just become stronger. You are not being brave by doing what they want. You are just another idiot."
"Fuck you!" Tammi turned to him. Pills in her hand. "You cannot just treat her like that. You are the same as them causing fear."
"Well, you are wrong." Bishop shrugged. "I actually care a little about you idiots. I am even risking a little jail time by taking this approach." Bishop did not care if he did get arrested. Since it would just get him in the cryo trials in the local area. At this point in time, several people were part of it already. All part of the program "Future America" studies. "I could try just talking to you all nice like, but let us be real, you would not listen to a thing I say. A little fear and intimidation work wonders."
"Ohh shit man!" Carl finally found his voice. It was just in time as a cop car pulled up. "The cops are here."
"Yeah, I called them." Bishop said with a smile. "So you can tell them what I did and then you are on your own for whatever happens to you. Or you can get help and move forward. It is up to you now."
He was told to take care of his cousins, both a family way and legal way right now.
