RECAPE-

Zayel discovers a hidden file on his room console showing secret footage from the Code X facility. The videos reveal the dark truth: the program is not just about upgrades—it’s about mind control.

He watches Dr. Varin speak about turning the teens into obedient, emotionless weapons by suppressing their memories. Shockingly, he also finds footage of Kai planning a secret rebellion.

Instead of reporting it, Zayel joins her.

They secretly gather the other teens and reveal the plan to trigger a glitch in the system to break free. But they don’t realize that Dr. Varin is already watching—and letting them go deeper on purpose.

EP-7 BEGGINING-

Zayel woke up feeling strange.

For a moment, he didn’t remember where he was. The walls were cold, silver. The bed, too perfect. Then his brain caught up.

Code X Facility.

Upgraded. Watched. Not safe.

He sat up slowly and looked at the glowing screen near his bed. It usually greeted him with his name. But this time, the screen said:

Welcome, Subject Unknown.

Zayel blinked. “Subject unknown?”

Node’s voice came into his mind, but it sounded distant and glitchy.

“Good morning… Za—…processing error… rebooting memory file…”

His chest tightened.

Was he… forgetting?

He rushed to the mirror. His reflection was the same. Same dark hair. Same blue glow in his eyes. But something felt wrong inside.

Later that day, Kai met him in the hallway.

“You okay?” she asked.

Zayel hesitated. “I think I’m losing… parts of me. I forgot my last name this morning.”

Kai nodded slowly. “It’s starting. You’re not the only one.”

She looked behind her and lowered her voice.

“Dex forgot his sister’s name. Lira couldn’t remember her birthday. It’s like we’re being rewritten.”

The group met again in the rec room.

“I checked the logs,” Dex said. “Every upgrade includes a memory filter. It blocks certain memories from coming back. Like a firewall.”

“Why would they block our memories?” Lira asked.

Kai’s voice was cold. “Because memories make us human. They don’t want us to be human. They want us to be programmable.”

Zayel leaned back in his chair. “We need to act before we forget everything.”

Just then, a loud alarm rang across the building. A voice echoed through every hallway:

“All subjects return to rooms. Unexpected system activity detected.”

The group split up quickly, trying not to draw attention. Zayel ran to his room, shut the door, and sat by the console.

The screen was still glitched. But then a message flashed:

Access granted. Hidden file unlocked.

Filename: Zayel - Core Memory (Preserved Copy)

He clicked it.

A video began to play.

A little boy—Zayel, years ago—was sitting on a sofa, laughing with a woman. His mother.

She was brushing his hair and saying, “Zayel, never forget who you are. Not even when the world tries to change you.”

Tears filled his eyes. His brain ached.

He could feel the upgrade system trying to delete the memory in real-time.

But something inside him resisted. His heart beat faster.

I won’t let you take this.

He pulled off the wrist console, ripped open a panel, and rewired it to isolate his memory chip.

He would fight to keep who he was.

Later that night, Zayel whispered to Kai through a secure line.

“I still remember her. Barely. But I do.”

Kai’s voice cracked. “Good. Hold onto it. We’ll need those memories for what’s coming.”

Zayel asked, “When do we move?”

She replied, “Soon. We just need to unlock one more thing.”

Zayel nodded. But deep down, he knew time was running out.

Each day, the system erased more of them.

Meanwhile, in the control room, Dr. Varin stared at Zayel’s file.

A red alert flashed across the screen:

Subject 01: Memory Defense Detected. Self-Repair in Progress.

Varin frowned. “Looks like Subject 01 is waking up.”

He turned to his assistant. “Move him up to Phase 2. Let’s see what he does under pressure.”
