Climate Wars
A climate change scientist is on the wrong side of a superhero.

It was close. She could feel it. Her life's work, her ambition... her dreams. Project Gaia. She'd studied her whole life for this moment. She'd finally developed a machine that could combat climate change. It would remove the CO2 from the atmosphere and siphon it into energy to power homes and factories. Countless lives would be saved. She'd be the hero who stopped the Earth from dying.
Her brown eyes were shining, the final touches were being added when the roof blew off the lab. Solaris, the resident superhero had decided the project was too dangerous. His eyes glowed red. Eliza screamed as the machine exploded in front of her, her life's work gone in the blink of an eye. Energy surged and she felt it course through her body. And then there was darkness.
When she awoke, her name was plastered everywhere.
Eliza Danes faces public disgrace over reckless project.
Eliza Danes' insanity stopped by Solaris.
Eliza felt fury beyond what she'd ever felt before. He'd ruined everything. Her project was perfect. The entire scientific world had been on her side until he barged in. Her body trembled in anger as she stood alone, shunned by her coworkers with her career in tatters. A cloud started to form above her head, lightning and thunder echoing around her. Rain dribbled down her black hair, jolting her mind back. She stared at the small cloud, only surrounding her. She reached a finger out and a wicked smile crossed her face as the clouds turned into a mini tornado.
A plan formulated in her mind. She would show Solaris and the world just how dangerous she could truly be now. Electricity cracked off her fingers. Climate change be damned, now they had to fear Tornado.
