Running as fast as I could down a muddy lane was my only chance of getting away. I held the weapon tightly with both hands. My life depended on it.

I came to an entrance and pushed myself through a forest of trees. The cold damp rain started to fall upon my skinny shoulders. I pulled my hood up and moved on.

The shattered building came into sight as I moved out of the forest. Coming closer to a gate, I waved my hand high so the weapon could be seen.

Keep your cool!

"Name and password?" The guard shouted.

"Ellie. Password ZeroX."

The gate opened. I walked inside feeling a massive wave of relief.

"Did anyone follow you?"

"No, Tim."

"Good. Give it to me."

"Here. It's heavy as hell but at least they don't have it anymore and we do. Do you think it will save us?"

Tim took the enormous machine gun from me.

"You did good, Ellie." I watched Tim, holding it higher in his hands as we approached a group of people. "We have it! We will kill the beasts and our enemies. A new world is about to begin, people. Be brave!" Everyone cheered.
