Bling, bling, a bell rang from the heavens, descending from above the blanket of clouds. Emma sprinted up the colossal creature's forearm, breaking through the foggy, gray ceiling, her brown cloak flapping maniacally.

The Thing was tall as a mountain, though an unstable one. It lumbered through the floral valley on thunderous feet, headed straight for the sunset.

Bling, bling, the bell continued its onslaught. Bling, bling!

The girls in Emma’s class had teased her for the last time. No fancy jewelry? So what? She thought, fuming, gripping the dagger’s hilt at her waist as she ran. I’ll show them. I’ll steal my own then, she sighed, hissing her breath.

She was an ant climbing over its elbow, calm and smooth. Slow is fast, she reminded herself. The towering beast was hardly aware of her presence as she scrambled past its shoulder.

The hooped, gold bell earring swayed and clanged just beyond her as she scaled the giant's leathery neck and reached for it.

Two more inches, she thought, sweating profusely but smiling all the while.

I’m so close... I....

Emma entered her classroom the next day wearing the massive gold bell earring like an oversized necklace.

"Bling, bling, bitches."

I like it. I was wondering if there was going to be a twist of some sort, but it doesn’t matter. The Bling, Bling Bitches is so real … ROFL. Great job.
