When Noah was ten years old, his parents got a divorce. Unfortunately, Noah's mother moved to Colorado, and his father moved to Canada. Noah's parents left him in Louisiana with his paternal grandmother. His grandmother lived on a farm filled with all kinds of animals. The first day Noah was too upset to leave his new room. He stared at the ceiling and tried to listen to his favorite music on his cell phone, but there was no internet connection in the house. Noah started walking all over the farm, holding up his cell phone, trying to get a signal. Finally, he found a weak signal inside his grandmother's barn.

However, Noah forgot all about the cell phone when he saw the inside of the barn. It was the perfect place for a clubhouse. While he was, cleaning out all the hay, spider webs, and animal dropping's Noah found a snake.

Noah remembered seeing a large fish tank in the attic of his grandmother's house. So he immediately brought the tank out to the barn and put the snake in it. The snake happened to be Noah's favorite color turquoise blue, and grey. Noah's grandmother did not mind him cleaning out the barn and making it into his new hang out. She also did not mind Noah having a new pet snake to keep him company. As soon as Noah got comfortable on his grandmother's farm, his mischievous side started coming out. One morning Noah took his grandmother's cat, some non-stick cooking spray, and a tall trash can out to the barn. He sprayed the inside of the trash can with the cooking oil, grabbed the cat, and went into the cornfields, where he let the cat go. Then he laid the trash can down on the ground where the mice were running out of the field and started collecting them. Noah captured ten mice and put them in his snakes' tank. When Noah was not paying attention, seven mice had run into the barn to hide from him, and the cat was in a tree.

While Noah was climbing up the tree to get the cat, a donkey let out a loud sound. Noah was so scared that he lost his balance and fell from the top of the tree right into some donkey doo-doo. Noah screamed for his grandmother, and the cat ran into the house.

On Sunday morning, Noah painted the barn red for his grandmother. That same evening Noah noticed that his snake had not eaten any of the mice, so he opened up the tank and let them all go.

Monday afternoon, Noah was so bored he decided to try and ride his grandfather's old bull. All of a sudden, the bull started bucking and charging towards the cornfield. Noah could see mice running with red paint all on them from the barn. The bull threw Noah into a ditch full of crawfish. When he got up, there was one stuck on his nose. Noah was screaming and crying for his grandmother.

On Tuesday, Noah decided it might be safer to ride his grandmother's pig. When Noah first got on the pig, he grabbed the pig's ears as it started running along the fence, under the house, and back to the pigpen, where he was finally able to throw Noah off into the slop. Noah smelled so bad and was full of flies that his grandmother had to bathe him outside with the hose in a foot bath.

On Wednesday, Noah noticed that the sheep were running all over the yard. He got on his pony and went to see what was scaring the sheep. It was not even a minute after seeing a dog that his pony got spooked and threw him off. The dog ran over to him and started licking his face. Noah had made a new friend. As time passed, Noah began to enjoy living on the farm. He made new friends at school and continued going on adventures. He missed his parents, but he no longer felt angry and abandoned.
