Was the same all life, until see something in sleep. Saw small animal no fur in wood, not food, too small. Feel danger, but it small. Something not same, different. Not scared all life, only when wind turns over in sky and fall. But this scares. It comes closer. Eyes open.

Try to tell others about see in sleep. Growl danger and squeal big, new and don't know way of telling. They look and they not know what say. Their heads bob back and forth, they make cooing, because they not know. Growl harder, throat going out more, to make growl longer, then go up to squeal to make bigger. They shake heads, stretch necks. They don't know new words, and don't want to. There is moving around in group, older ones pushing young around, they not want young to hear. All move away, no one believes. Whimper weakly, tail twitching as oldest one leads others towards feeding place. They crouch and jump into sky, until all flying. See them go get food.

Sleep and see small animal again. No fur but on head. Too small for food, it makes noise. It crawls, stands, walks, falls down. It makes bad noise. It comes closer, walk on rear legs. It not scared. It makes strange noise. Mouth wide. Eyes open.

The others stay far. Have to hunt alone. Fly to feeding place, look down to find food. Not big food there, just little hopping animals. Turn and fly to end of feeding place, near the wood. There. Big antler animal. It not see. Turn to make sun behind as fall quiet, behind antler animal. It looks up and sees. It makes scared noise and runs away. Go faster to catch and reach out with claws and grab. It makes louder noise, go up then drop on some rocks. It dies. Come back to eat.

Eating good. Always in life good. Taste juice and eyes roll up. Eat more and life good. Almost done, hear something. A small noise. Far away. Know this sound. Scales ripple. Hear for long time. Hear it again. That way. Near the wood. Move slow and quiet, head down and wings flat. Long time move, stopping to hear little noise. Get close to wood, and see it. Feel falling again. It little animal saw in sleep. It making bad noise, but it sees, stops. It not scared. All life small animals scared. Big, bigger than tree. Teeth sharp and claws sharp. But this little animal not scared, walks closer, waving front legs, makes strange sound. Mouth wide, not scared. Look down at little animal, it tries to touch foot. Eyes open.

Not sleep many suns, not eat many suns. Not fly, walk to feeding place. See in sleep make not eat. Don't know for what.

Long sleep and see small animal again. Has no hair but on head. Too small for food, makes noises. Crawls, stands, walks, falls down. Makes bad noise. More same animals there, they bigger, big enough to eat small each. They have fur. The fur not theirs. They have long things in paws, like sticks. They make noises, not like small one. They more than us. They come make us food. Fall again, and can't flap to stop it. Eyes open.

Lying near wood. Weak from no eat. See mouse, stomp, eat mouse. Need more. Mouses run. Rake ground with claws, find mouse, eat. Stronger soon. Hear sound. Look at wood. The small animal there. Like in sleep. Fall but not fall. It makes bad noise like in sleep. Can't move. It crawls, stands on rear legs, walks, waves front legs, one front leg shorter than other. Not scared, makes not scared noise. Comes closer. It tries to touch foot. Eyes not open.

Not sleep. More animals there, in wood. So many, can't see all. They have fur not their fur. They have sticks in paws. Eyes not open. Not sleep. Little animal makes strange noise, mouth wide. Tries touch foot. Not scared. Feel many touches on head. Sticks tapping on head. Smell strange. More tapping on head, sticks with fur on end, smell strange, not animal smell. Feel sleep. Hear animals make big noises, like ground thunder. Eyes closing, see many animals with fur not their fur run closer. Sleep coming, can't move. They more than us. They make us food. Fall again, can't flap to stop it. Too weak. Sleep.

Eyes open. Pain. Many pains. The animals crawl over and poke sticks under scales. Weak, try to squeal. Small squeal. They make us food. Feel big scared. Worse than fall. Squeal more. They make us food, try to warn others. Too weak. Can't stomp, can't whip tail. Sleep coming. Make... food... me...

Eyes open. Hear ground thunder. Can't move. Hear wind, many flaps. Hear bad noises. The animals with fur not their fur stop making me food, make bad noises. They climb down and run. So many animals make me food. Hear others come. They run, they fly, they come. They fall and pick up animals, they eat good. They stomp animals, they eat good. Many bad noises, animals with fur not their fur die, glad they die. They try make me food. Others make me live. They believe now. They know small animals with fur not their fur big danger now. They know new words now. Heard noise they made many times when try make me food. They make noise sound dragon. We dragon. Always in life we will be dragon. Make new word for big danger from small animals with fur not their fur. The animals always in life now enemy. Only one not enemy. Keep little animal with one front leg shorter than other not scared of dragon. It was trap for dragon. Always in life will remember little animal was trap for dragon. Maybe will trap enemy one sun. Make enemy food. Eat good. Eat very good.

Interesting take on this challenge. I have not read a story in a style like this. Kind of uncomfortable to read, some elements I understood clearer than others, but the story got across to me just fine. Good job
