There weren’t always Dragons in The Valley. They were sent by the Celestials to help restore the balance of the earthly plains. Bringing upon an awakening that would raise the vibrations of the planets. During the first minutes that the Dragons entered the Earth’s atmosphere some of us immediately awakened and remembered our life’s purpose, with it unlocking our natural powers. Among us there were Energy healers, Plant healers, Psychics, Channelers, Mediums, Dream Walkers, Elementals and Witches. By the ten-minute mark, the government had declared the Dragons and everyone that shifted a threat, putting out a bounty on us. The Dragons had failed. See humanity had lost its way for a while now and even with the return of the Universal light many resisted the shift. In turn it gave birth to the darkest of forces we would come to know. Most Dragons were captured and locked away at undisclosed sites. And the ones that escaped, well, they’re here with us at The Valley.

Present Day

“Yo Zara, catch.” shouted Magnus.

I had been sitting here quietly trying to transcend the constraints of the astral realm when I felt my energy field shifting. Suddenly I was knocked back into my body, and there through the lenses of my third eye I saw that Magnus had pitched an ice ball. Quickly I remembered the teachings of the voice. Concentrating I shifted consciousness into the sweet spot, between Alpha and Theta waves. I watched as the ice ball flew through me, hitting Alaric in the face.

“What the hell?” “How’d you do that?” asked Selene.

I can’t really explain it, I’ve just been practicing.

Quickly I gathered my things to head back to the pods, but I could hear Selene swiftly swirling behind, birds and butterflies tracing her.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, Selene is an Elemental. More specifically she is an Earth Elemental. She is the only one in our community. So wherever Selene is or goes you can expect mother nature to be tracing right behind her. Whether that be cute little animals or creepy bugs, just expect the unexpected.

“Zara” “Zara” “Come on don’t be like that.” plead Selene.

This is exactly why I told you that I didn’t want to go to the outskirts. He always acts like he’s better than all of us. Just because he has a grip on his abilities doesn’t make him superior to us. I don’t understand why you even like him, he’s not even on the same frequency as you.

See don’t get me wrong Selene is my best friend, but she is boy crazy and lately, all she wants to do is be around Magnus. That’s how I got into the ice ball situation in the first place. Magnus was always hanging with his pod crew and Selene; well, she is a bit awkward.

“I wish you wouldn’t judge him so harshly. If you could just open up your heart a little you would learn to like him.” sighed Selene. “I see what you’re doing though, trying to dodge the topic of your new ability.” she said.

There really isn’t much to say, I’ve been meditating every night as they asked us to. After a few nights I accidentally stumbled upon the in-between.

She looked at me confused.

You know, that moment when you’re drifting from alpha waves and are about to enter theta waves. Well right there, right before you leave alpha and hit theta it’s like this sweet spot. It lets you shift from physical form to astral form in the physical dimensions. I wasn’t really sure that it was going to work. I just heard this voice coming through telling me to shift.

“A voice?” she questioned.

“Yes, you know, the same voices we here when we communicate with our guides?”

“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure the gatekeepers told us that our guides are prohibited from pulling us in any direction. They must remain neutral at all times.” she said firmly.

Honestly Selene, I don’t think this was one of my guides. The energy felt different, benevolent but different.

“Whatever it was Zara, you were a total badass.” she said admirably.

Selene then started dancing about our pod with this child-like freedom. Her long beautiful red hair cascading down to her hips. I envy it. I envy her. Everything for her is so effortless. Selene embodies authenticity. Always true to herself no matter the cost. That’s why I hate that she is so into Magnus. He doesn’t deserve her. He can barely appreciate her for who or what she is.

As she continued drifting around with rhythm, I decided to head over to the sanctuary. The Sanctuary being where the community goes in order to connect with Source. Some of us meditate, some dance, some draw, some write, I am upon those that meditate. Meditation for me isn’t just about connecting with Source, it is a way for me to recharge and reflect. So, as I sit here with my eyes closed, I start to drift back to when it all started.

March 15, 2020

Laying there I procrastinated and thought of ways that I could call out of work. I had a few hours before I had to go in, so I decided to plop myself in front of the tv and turn on the PlayStation. I grabbed my phone to see if any of my friends wanted to jump on when I saw I had 10 missed calls from Ashlynn. Worried I called her back. She answered frantically.

“Dragons dude, there’s dragons in China.” shouted Ashlynn.

“Calm down, what the hell do you mean there’s dragons in China? Did you drop some acid again?”

“No, seriously hold on. I’m gonna send you the link.” replied Ashlynn.”

As I open the link that she sent me, my heart starts racing. There it was. Clear as day. Footage of four dragons flying through the skies of China. I could feel the blood rushing through my face. The heat of it emitting from the depths of my soul. My mind racing with memories of those countless nights I’d awaken from my restless sleep. Remembering the dreams I’d been awoken from. Always they’d been about Dragons that had come to restore balance.

Rushing I throw on some sweatpants and a hoodie. I agreed to meet Ashlynn at her place. By the time I started driving you could tell that word was spreading fast. Gas Stations inundated by masses looking to fuel up. Food markets along with other stores being looted. Police everywhere. Flooring the gas, I panicked thinking I wouldn’t make it to Ashlynn’s. Once I saw the life like blue buggy I knew I was free from the chaos.

Before I could so much as shut off my car Ashlynn rushes me with enthusiasm her excitement exuding at the brim of her words. She motions for us to move inside when suddenly, from my peripheral I see a shadow so dark it swallowed the day, raising goosebumps on my covered skin. Everything went ominously quiet with the exception of a constant swoosh. The sound resembled the path of two passing cars. I took one look at Ashlynn and saw the fear spread across her face her gaze engaged in the sky. That’s when I notice the hovering dragon above us and just as our eyes meet I’m thrown into a spiral of images playing before me. A personal premiere of my life combined with the lives of others. All these other faces I’ve never seen. Each one looking oddly familiar. I hear voices in the distance as I keep falling down this spiral. They started faint but now grow stronger with each syllable they pronounce. Finally I hear clear as day, “Zara, it’s time, wake up.”
