Athanasy - The Power Within You
Waves of love in the admiration of strength

Eras passed by,
The ancient Greek town dappled with glory and scars,
Beholding the tales of the gods in the sky,
Crossing the streams of the city,
Lived a dyad in a small vicinity.
A small village stranded in the alps,
A land renowned for virtues and affection,
The couple wailed in dejection.
Praying to the goddess Athena to bestow them with a special gift,
A child was what they wished.
The goddess blessed them with a young girl,
Oblivious she was born for the flag of benevolence to unfurl.
Beyond smiles and tears,
She added happiness to her parent’s years,
Athanasy she was named,
Fated to be ‘the chosen one’ and change the game.
The best of both aspects of light and dark met in her eyes,
Possessing beauty and charm that even
the angels looked down from
The skies.
Athanasy turned a year old,
It was a night dark and cold.
As she slept peacefully,
Her parents looked at her ecastically.
Sudden footsteps were heard,
The couple was startled by the troop,
They were killed in a trice,
The villagers mourned on their demise.
Athanasy was taken away,
To the land where the light turned grey.
The king and the queen gave her all the worldly riches known,
But athanasy grew up with a yearning to discover the unknown.
She outwitted every scholar in the court of the king and the queen,
Years passed by and she turned seventeen.
Tired of living in the same land,
She urged to discover a new command.
–
The king agreed and athanasy went to Athens
Passing by,
She sighted something unusual.
The white marble idol ablaze in the sun,
She marched towards it, unaware of how her life would turn,
Bowing before the very eyes of the goddess of sagacity,
She felt a call from eternity.
About to leave,
She saw a rings placed in the goddess’s hands,
Mesmired by the radiance,
She held it.
The priest was taken aback,
Telling her only the descendants of god could lift the ring,
The power was vested in her, to hold the divine thing.
Juddered by the thought,
She abandoned the spot.
Running away into the woods,
She ran as fast as she could.
Unexpectedly , she heard a voice,
She saw her father and she rejoiced.
The king was talking to someone,
As she was about to embrace her father,
Not stepping further,
She heard her father saying the unsaid,
He said athanasy was the daughter of the dead.
Entrenched in sadness,
She went to end her life,
As she jumped off the cliff,
From the hill high,
Only to realize she was meant to fly.
--
Discovering her wings,
Goddess Athena herself emerged.
Telling her she was meant to change the world.
She returned to Athens,
Only to see her step sister torturing the masses,
She confronted her sister and got caught up in a fight.
Mederia vowed to show her might.
Through dark magic she plagued the entire city,
A threat to the kingdom’s dignity.
The antidote was the only cure,
To remove them out of the labyrinth of suffering.
Athanasy held her head high,
Fluttering her wings she took off into the sky,
The antidote lied behind the doors,
Only with a code,
Could athanasy get the antidote.
Mederia tried to kill her,
Only to see the divine goddess alive in her sister.
The lighting struck and Medaria died,
Athanansy knew the answer,
Humanity she whispered to the door.
Doors opened and she took the antidote.
Flying to her motherland,
She fostered life back to the barren sands.
With stardust in her soul and magic in her bones,
The girl was a masterpiece curated by the divine,
Who was not afraid to fight alone
