Asmud and Sigourney
A long, long time ago, when there were fairies, witches, giants and cannibals on earth, there was a king who ruled over a country with a vast territory and beautiful scenery.

Long, long ago, when there were fairies, witches, giants, and cannibals on earth, there was a king who ruled over a vast country with beautiful scenery. The king married a wife he loved dearly, and had two promising children - a son named Asmud and a daughter named Sigourney.
The king and queen raised their children very carefully, and the young princes and princesses learned everything that would make them smart and capable. They lived in their father's palace, and the king would do anything to make their lives happy.
Prince Asmud was very fond of all outdoor sports, and he also liked living in the wild, and he wanted to live in the forest when he was very young. After arguing with his parents for a long time, he finally succeeded in persuading the king to give him two oaks.
"Now," he said to his sister, "I'm going to hollow out the tree and decorate it so I can live in the forest."
'Oh, Asmud! 'said Sigourney.' What a great idea! Let me come too, I'm going to live in one of the trees too, I'm going to take all my pretty things and decorations, these two trees are so close to home, we'll be safe. '
Asmud loved his sister very much, so he happily agreed. Together, the two happily put all their beloved items, Sigourney's jewelry and other decorations, into the little beautiful room in the tree.
Unfortunately, the sad days came. War broke out between their country and another country, and the king led his army to fight the enemy. During his absence, the queen fell ill, and after a while she died, bringing untold grief to her children. So the brother and sister decided to live together in a tree for a while, and for this they prepared enough items to live for a year.
In another country far away from this country, there was a king who had only one son named Ying. The Prince of England had long heard that Princess Sigourney was beautiful and kind-hearted, so he decided to marry her whenever possible. He asked his father to give him a boat, and he set sail, and after a while he landed in Sigourney's country.
As soon as the boat docked, the prince set off for the palace. On the way, he met a very beautiful and lovely woman. He had never seen a more beautiful woman in his life, so he stopped her and asked her who she was.
"My name is Sigourney, the king's daughter," she replied.
Then the prince asked her why she was wandering around alone, and she told him that she was sad because her mother had died, and that her father was not at home, so she came out alone to relax.
The Prince of England was completely deceived by her, never guessing that she was not Princess Sigourney at all, but a powerful and huge evil witch deceiving him with her beautiful appearance in disguise. The prince told her how he had come all the way for the princess, and when he heard about her beauty, he fell deeply in love with her, and then he asked her if she would like to be his wife.
When the witch heard his words, she was very satisfied, and accepted his marriage proposal, but she asked the prince to go back to the boat first, and she herself hoped to go for a walk in the forest again, and promised him that she would join him soon.
As she wished, the Prince of England went back to the boat and waited, while the witch returned to the forest and went all the way to the two oak trees.
Then she regained her original giant shape, uprooted two trees, carried one on her back and the other tightly to her chest, and she took the two trees to the river bank and came to the boat.
She was careful not to be noticed as she approached the boat, and as soon as she stepped on the boat, she became her lovely look again, telling the prince that her luggage was already on the boat and that there was nothing to wait for.
The prince ordered to set sail immediately, and the trip went well, and he arrived in his own country, and the prince's parents and his only sister welcomed him back with great joy.
The fake Sigourney received a very friendly welcome, and the prince also prepared a beautiful house for her. The prince of England had the two oak trees planted in front of the fake princess' window, so that the fake princess could see the oak trees at any time. The prince often came to see the witch who mistook it for Princess Sigourney. One day, the prince asked, "Do you think we can get married soon?"
"Yes," she answered satisfactorily. "I'm ready to marry you, and you can marry whenever you want."
"Then," replied the Prince, "we shall be married in two weeks, and look, I have brought you some fabrics for your wedding dress." And he gave her a large piece of beautiful brocade, all sewn with gold thread, and studded with pearls and other jewels.
As soon as the prince left, the witch returned to her original form, running around the room, yelling, and throwing the beautiful piece of silk on the floor.
"How should I deal with this thing?" She yelled, "I don't know how to sew and make clothes. If my brother Tietou doesn't come over quickly and bring me some raw meat and bones, I will definitely starve to death. Other things are really hard for me to swallow."
While she was yelling and screaming like this, a floor suddenly opened, and a huge giant appeared with a huge box in her hand. The witch was very happy when she saw him, and warmly beckoned her brother to sit down, and opened the box, which was full of the terrible food she longed for. The two terrible devils sat down, chewed greedily, and ate up the box, and then the giant carried the box on his shoulders and disappeared as he came, leaving no trace.
But his sister was not quiet for long. She brought the precious piece of silk over, tearing and tearing, as if she wanted to destroy the material completely, and, jumping and roaring angrily.
All this was seen by Prince Asmud and his sister, who happened to be sitting by the window of the tree.
"Dear Sigourney," said Asmud, "find a way to get that material and make a dress, if it weren't for this noise, we wouldn't be able to rest day or night."
"I'll try," Sigourney said. "It won't be easy, but it's worth it to be quiet."
So she found an opportunity, and when the witch left the room, she managed to get the material in her hands. Then she got to work, she cut and sewed with all her might, and after the sixth day, she made a beautiful robe with a skirt and a cape. When she was done, she climbed to the top of the tree and threw the clothes on the table through the open window.
The witch was overjoyed when she saw that the clothes were ready! When the prince came to see her again, she showed the clothes to the prince, who was full of praise for her skilled sewing skills, and said goodbye to her amicably. But as soon as the prince left, the witch yelled as usual, and she wouldn't stop until her brother Iron Head appeared.
When Asmud saw these crazy actions from his tree, he felt that he could no longer keep silent. He walked up to the Prince of England and said, "Come with me to see the strange things that happened to the new princess in the room."
The prince was surprised, but he hid with Asmud at the back of the princess' room, where they could see everything through a small crack, and the witch yelled as always, and said to her brother, "As soon as I marry the king's son, I will be more comfortable than I am now. I will kill all the ministers, and then call all my relatives to live here and take their place. I think the giants will be very happy when they see me and my husband."
The Prince of England was furious when he heard this, and he ordered the house to be burned down. The witch and her brother were burned to death, and the house was burned to the ground.
Asmud told the prince the story of the two oaks and took him to see them. The prince was very surprised when he saw the oak tree and what was in it, but it was not as shocking as Sigourney's beauty. He fell in love with her immediately and proposed to her, and after a while Sigourney agreed. On the other hand, Asmud proposed to the Prince of England's sister, and she agreed. The two happy events were warmly celebrated.
After that, Prince Asmud returned to his country with his bride to live with his father. The two couples met often and lived happily for a long, long time.
That's the end of the story.
