Walking past the Roman walls and visiting the circus. Dressed in togas and caliga sandals, occupying horse-drawn carriages.

Walking among the Doric columns, tirelessly building permanent passages through the Claudius Gate.

Watching horse and chariot races, staged beast hunts, gladiator contests.

Then sitting in the comfort of hearth and home, feeling the warmth of a hot stovetop. Polenta tasting with lentils and cotechino in marinara sauce.

This could be the case if ants had ruled since antiquity.
