Dwane stood in front of the camera adjusting his bow tie. He couldn’t remember the last time he got his picture taken. He tugged on his sweater. Brown, with cables running up the front. It was one of his favorites, and the one Morgan only let him wear during special occasions. The door to the almost empty room squeaked open.
“Alright Mr. Dwane.” The man said. He looked up from his clipboard and squinted at Dwane before squinting at his clipboard again.
“Yes sir?” Dwane said. The man went to the camera and pushed a button, and the camera slowly went down. He grabbed a chair and pulled it up to the camera.
“There, now we’re ready. Let’s get your picture taken.” The man said. Dwane frowned and the camera flashed.
“Wait what?” He exclaimed. “I wasn’t ready!”
“Well, we can always retake.” The man said.
“That would be-“ Dwane started the camera flashed again.
“Hey!” He exclaimed. It flashed again.
“That’s not-“ Dwane started, the camera flashed. The man peered at him from around the camera stand.
“Excuse me sir?” The man said.
“Morgan is going to mad if I have a bad picture.” Dwane said glaring at the camera man.
“We can try again?” He asked. Dwane walked over.
“Let me see what you’ve got so far.” He grumbled. He snatched the camera off the stand. The man stood.
“Mr. Dwane!” He exclaimed. Dwane turned, and looked through the pictures, to his surprise he was smiling nicely in every single one of them. He handed the camera back, surprised.
“You do good work.” He said. “Morgan will be contacting you soon.”
“Sounds good sir.” The camera man replied. They shook hands and before Dwane could say anything the camera man was gone. Dwane smiled to himself, then there was another knock at the door. A woman popped her head in.
“Are you Dwane? I’m here to get your picture.” She said. Dwane shook his head.
“Wait here a moment.” He replied. He bolted past her.
“Sir!” He yelled down the hall
