Imparting the spiritual dimension for deeper intimate connections

They had been chasing each other for some time and joining friends at a lakeside cottage they rented for the long weekend that summer seemed to match their excitement and exuberance. Following some afternoon pleasantries, Charles suggested Tamika join him for a stroll down the beach, although not for a swim as the party had decided on using the rather large hot tub later that evening.
Tamika happily agreed, after all, she had questions about who this new man was in her life as things seemed to be going well between them over recent weeks.
"Where are you going?" she asked them as they headed toward the shore.
"Down by the water and then along the shoreline over there." Charles pointed towards the shoreline by some rather large boulders.
Tamika clarified, "No, I mean, after this weekend. In life."
"Ohh," said Charles as he exhaled, taking in the ever-so-slightly cool breeze. He went on about a new project that, if he got it, would take him far away for a couple months.
"That sounds like a while," she pined and then looked down at the few pebbles visible on the sandy beach.
"Not when you know you're going to be back," said Charles with a radiant smile. Tamika missed that smile, so Charles decided to elaborate to regain her attention and her heart-warming gaze. "Well, if you have someone to come back to," he teased.
Tamika's head shot up to gaze forward, "Oh? Anyone in mind?"
"I was thinking of you, actually," Charles openly admitted. "That's what I would really like."
Tamika blushed and smiled. The others at the weekend had split up and had headed off in different directions.
Seeking to tone it down just a little, Charles reciprocated with, "And what will you be doing after the weekend?" Still smiling, she told him some small projects she would be working on on the side, aside from working as usual. Charles nodded and, unable to resist, automatically asked, "And what will you be up to in a couple of months?"
"He's fishing..." Tamika thought to herself, "...for me." She was still smiling as the allure was immense. She skipped a little to catch up, reached out, grabbed his arm briefly, and then they held hands as they rounded some boulders.
It was a nook along the beach, calm, quiet, with trees above them on the far side and boulders at least waist-height. Now, it was late afternoon and the position of the sun in the sky resulted in the lake having a different hue. They snuggled together on the smooth, dry beach, letting their minds wander and hearts experience a brief moment of tranquillity. Lips, being sensuous, were added to the mix as they kissed - not for the first time - in acknowledgement both of them were with the one they wanted to be with in that moment and perhaps many others.
Warm words were exchanged and a fateful event happened when things were heating up. As they were kissing deeply, Jane felt her hands either slide down Charles' body or were guided down it, she couldn't tell. Right at the moment when she first held his glowing member she felt a weight, in herself, although there was nothing heavy about anything. It was in her arm and part of her torso. The sensation was like an anchor for her spirit.
Being a little surprised and attuned, she savoured the feeling as she pulled her head back so she could look him in the eye. She had never experienced such a sensation before and would only experience different sensations with other parts of his body. But that anchoring feeling in her arm and chest was like her spirit was moored in a cove just for her and happened each and every time she held that part of him.
It would have been impossible for Tamika to know that 62 years and three days from now would be the last time she would be able to experience that, what with dearly departeds and all. But in this moment, they shared a spiritual connection that reflected directly through their bodies and over time they each learned what other ways they could see each other on that level via all their...parts.

Almost a decade-and-a-half later, Charles was having a heated conversation with their teenage daughter, Kamaria at home. It started with her saying, "But they're all the same, so it means the same thing".
Charles wouldn't have it, so he took Kamaria by the hand and sat her down on the couch facing him. "That isn't it at all," he said in a measured tone. "Look, life is going to throw a lot of people at you over the years and it's clear you need to know this now."
Kamaria let out a teenage sigh uuukkkkhh, leaned back, folded her arms, and looked off to the side.
"Ok here, I will show you." He reached out his left hand and held his daughter's side between her hip and rib cage. This captured her attention and she looked squarely back at him.
"When I put my hand here, I feel a small flower, about the size of a golf ball, opening up slowly. With my hand there, I feel an energy inside you that comes from somewhere in the ether to there to then various other parts of you, like a pinball." She chuckled and smiled before he continued, "And I know that all the other parts it goes to, will inspire you in whatever ways it does when that energy lands in those parts of you."
He paused to let that sink in. "That is not projection; that is how I see my spirit interacting with yours whenever I put my hand there, not just today. Now because I know, see, and feel that depth about you, how does that make you feel?"
She reflected for a moment and admitted, "Seen. Connected. Loved."
"Seen, connected, and loved enough for me to be your husband?"
It was like a splash of cold water and now she didn't know what the hand on her side felt like to the point of almost wanting to push it away, but she persisted through that reaction. "Uh, no."
"Exactly," said Charles. "Everybody will experience a different connection with people on that level. Being aware of what that means to you makes all the difference when contextualizing a relationship in your life." He paused. "So what does my hand on your waist there feel like to you on that level? And don't say 'warm, fatherly love' because that's on a more superficial level. Relatively speaking."
Kamaria thought for a moment and shrunk back a little as she was embarrassed to say it. "I feel something at the top of my butt."
Charles chuckled and replied, "Ok, let's call it the base of your spine."
"The base of my spine! Yes! That's it! Hmmm," she thought for a moment. "It feels like a platform, like something in me cannot be broken."
Charles smiled. She got it and those words made him feel proud of being able to be such a source for his daughter.
"Why couldn't I see this before?" she asked.
"Well," answered Charles, "Before you may have been too young, but in the next few years it will be difficult to see because other things will be so loud you might not be aware of it."
"What will be so loud?"
"You know your body is already changing and that's it," said Charles plainly, removing his hand from her waist to add gestures to what he would say next. "Basically, around this time you are going to want to throw yourself into social situations with other people your age and other people your age will experience the same. That drive can be almost deafening at times."
"What do I do?" Kamaria asked, a little scared.
"Just remember a few examples of this from time to time. That might help keep things on an even keel. Plus your ability to view it more calmly and regularly will stabilize when you are an adult."
"Ok, thanks dad."
