Alice and Her Tea

"If walls could talk, what would this wall say?" she thought, as Alice stood at the door of her parent's house and stared at the wall as she sipped her herbal tea. Alice was a young woman who lived with her parents in the small village of Glengarang. She had been there all her entire life. She had grown up with the same people and shared a special bond with the forest that surrounded the village. Every day, she woke up early and worked in the fields, tending to the crops and tending to the livestock. Despite all the hard work, Alice was happy and content with her life.

Soon, however, her life changed drastically when Lord Drexel took over the village. Lord Drexel was a cruel and powerful ruler who terrorized the villagers with his oppressive laws. Alice soon discovered that Lord Drexel had made it his mission to torment her with his cruel, sadistic thoughts. She began to experience terrifying sleep paralysis as well as having vivid nightmares about Lord Drexel. The fear of Lord Drexel took over Alice's life, and she soon found herself unable to focus on anything else. She was so afraid that she rarely left her house and was too scared to even make eye contact with anyone in the village.

A few months went by, but Alice finally decided to take matters into her own hands and battle her fear. She made a cup of tea and took it to her favorite spot in the house, a corner by the wall. As she sipped her tea, Alice noticed something strange. In the wall, the face of Lord Drexel appeared. She was certain that it had not been there before, and she felt a wave of fear wash over her. Alice was terrified and wanted to run away, but instead she forced herself to confront this terrible apparition in her wall. "Submit to me at once!" Drexel's ghostly face commanded, "I will burn this whole village down to get to you." Alice refused.

As the weeks went by, Lord Drexel continued to burn the villagers' homes, one by one, until finally, only Alice's house was left standing. He and his demon lords burned and destroyed everything in their path, leaving nothing but ash and ruin in their wake. Alice knew she had to do something to stop Lord Drexel. She vowed revenge for her family and village, and promised to stop at nothing until the dreaded lord was vanquished.

Alice had heard stories of a powerful, magical force that resided deep within the forest. With all that she had left, she set out to find this force and unleash its wrath upon Lord Drexel. Alice trekked through the forest for days until finally, she came across a small clearing. In the center was a tree with a deep, glowing light emanating from it. She realized that this was the source of the power she had heard about.

Alice reached out and touched the tree, and in an instant, a powerful force of energy surged through her. She felt invincible, and with newfound strength, she turned towards town. The forest, however, wasn’t done with her just yet. Before Alice could even take one tiny step, the genius loci, the forest spirits, surrounded her. Each one touched her and assimilated into her. Thirteen powerful spirits and the heart of the forest coursed through her like liquid fire. Alice was ready and headed for town

As Alice entered the town center, the final showdown began. Alice was able to use the magical energies of the forest to fight off, and ultimately defeat Lord Drexel. Drexel, along with his demon scourge, gave everything they had, but was now match for the young woman. With the evil lord gone and the village completely destroyed, Alice was finally able to find peace. With all of the forest energies expended, Alice sat down to revel in the fact that she had finally gotten her revenge on the evil Lord Drexel. Then, she noticed a strange distortion in reality. Her reality completely dissolved around her, and she was left standing in front of the door of her parents house. After a few minutes of regaining lucidity, she realized that the salvia in her herbal tea had caused her to live out an entire year in only ten minutes time.
