Algorithmic Waves (Part 5)
Hatfield starts to find new breakthroughs.
Code is everywhere. Hatfield noticed that the machine ran on nuclear power. With the knowledge of his family, he recalled that his grandfather had worked as a lead engineer at the local nuclear reactor in Dover, Delaware.
His grandfather had been a part of a team of scientists and engineers who wished to build something that would even outlive humans and still be autonomous.
In the time he had used tracking where the robot had originated, he noticed on the screen it had shown a message from his grandfather written in a way that only he and his grandfather understood.

Choosing the Bear
I wasn’t expecting this. I had to go into town for eggs. Normally, Bessie and Judith and Norbert give me enough that this is never a problem, but for some reason they all got broody at the same time. The fact that there’s a handsome pheasant hanging around the cottage, strutting around like he’s “actually a peacock you know.” Yes, he actually said that. So of course the hens are clucking away. Not that anything will come of it, of course, but, the instincts die hard.
