Heretofore and evermore, today in front, behind, sideways and every which way to the whole wide world, I make my afrodavit. It is an unwritten statement voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation which is administered by a person who is authorized to do so by nobody but her/himself.

Hereafter know as:

testimony

statement

attestation

declaration

avowal

plea

submission

claim

contention

charge

allegation

deposition

representation

asseveration

averment

"Um, Mohania. What in tarnation are you on about now. Afrodavit, did you just make up a word and intend to use it"? Kiki asked her ever evolving in weirdness friend.

"What if I did. How is it different from all the other crazy words which people are always making up and using, as if we all have to accept the silly sounding words as gospel".

"I think the difference is that it is recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary or Oxford University Press, and I don't know where else, in order to be credible and accepted". Kiki replied.

"Well, I have officially, on my own behalf coined the word AFRODAVIT, to represent anything concerning my personal decisions and deportment"!

Kiki sighed and rolled her eyes, she adored her friend's quirkiness, it is why they have remained friends for such a long time, never a dull moment.

"Ok, name some of those weird words you mentioned, let's see if you are right".

"Bumfuddled, gobbledygook, fartlek, everywhen, kibitzer and.....".

"Ok, you win. I kinda like afrodavit. Let's start AFRODAVITING".

That got me thinking. Afrodavit could be connected to Africa, but also to Aphrodite (because of the sound). Davit, hm... interesting 😁

I love this. If it communicates clearly it's language, I say! And your word is crystal clear.

  • I kinda like fartlek, lol! I think it means "chill pill". So we can tell people, "You gotta calm down. Take a fartlek"! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lol, I loved your story!
