Yaquisha tapped away at her phone. The silence of her fingers was like a concerto pianist. She tapped send and then turned on the computer. The lighting of her studio permitted her to glow.
When she took snapshots and then loaded video onto the computer, she felt a rush like none other. Work propelled her to be the best at her chosen field.
There sitting before her streamed the video of Kim’s hearing. Yawquisha took notes on the judge. Each tick of the face, every uneven stare produced another line for the videographer. She also noticed Kim. Almost like an ice sculpture and also a ballerina at rest, Kim looked poised and ready to answer questions.
Yawquisha then turned to her stationary. She pulled her purple pen from its home in a coffee mug. A piece of paper then found her hands. With the ability to take the time and put her calligraphy skills to use. Every word remained a key and it unlocked more ideas in her mind. By taking her thoughts and addressing the page, Yawquisha knew when to add fuel to the inferno that raged in her mind. The ability to conquer her doubts and to remain the consummate creator pushed the pen to the margins.
She grabbed an envelope and placed the note in it. By sending this kite, she knew it would reach Kim's mind.

Deleted messages in attorney Lorna Constance flew into the digital atmosphere. Lorna looked thirty but she was forty-three. Her face seemed to radiate energy and grace in equal measures. With her hound’s tooth suit, she scrolled through the messages that stayed locked in her phone. One particular claim snatched her attention. It was from judge Xavier.
“We’re going to keep going with the idea of your client present during the interview with a psychiatrist. Okay.”
Lorna looked up at the ceiling and rolled her tongue over her top row of front teeth.
She then looked down at the phone and noticed another message.
“Hi, Lorna. I wanted to say that of all the ways you’ve helped me, I consider it an honor to be your client.”
The smirk on her face looked like a curlicue. She walked over to her desk, sat her phone down on it. She took to her digital notepad and sent a message.
“Thanks, Kim. I appreciate you and never let your head drop. We’re going to win this case.”
In her cell, Kim looked at the oatmeal-colored walls. The flicker of the light just above her head. With a pencil, she wrote out her message to Yawquisha.
“I’m on the receiving end again, huh? I respect you even more for your diligence and perseverance when tested. The video was a perfect idea. I think it’s going to be a legitimate addition to my case. I never thought it would be this dreaded pall wrapped around me. You are that crack of light pouring through. I’ve never had a ride-along with as much fire and venom like you. Yet, you seem totally ready to burst forward with the poise of an adder.
I think that I have a shot with your video going viral all over the world. I will take the fact you’re a young woman on a mission. You consider every detail and make it easier for us to expedite the case.
Lorna and I are prepared to direct the donation you sent to try to get me out of here. Did I mention the judge reneged on her previous decision? Yes, I have a two million dollar bail. That should be satisfied with the bundle that you sent. Thank you, again.”
She signed it and posted nota bene: “Remember to take over for me. You’d be a great cop.”
