Everything is not meaningless. I think Something is beginning.

There is a reason why every generation has to wave goodbye in the cycle of our evolution. As unquestionable as the transitioning of the seasons, are the vibrations of the stages of our individual existence.

Everything changes. Cultures, tastes, preferences and our tolerance for the choices of those born before our own time. Those forcing their beliefs upon modernity.

Older folks seem determined to hold on to the reins of the past...refusing to cede the future to the younger generation who will be the ones actually living in it...long after their forebears have waved goodbye.

Of course, there are younger peer and age groups that prefer the things of old. The music, the art, the literature, the fashion and the romance which it all conjures. These who are known as "Old Souls".

Still, no one wants to inherit the tragedy and destruction of war and devastation.

What has the passing of the years been like. What rhythms stirred the depths of our inner sanctum, what monsters, angels, imps and devils scourged the emotions birthing both good and evil. How do we answer.

'Dear Sisyphus', I quite understand your misery, for it mimics the frame of mind of the world, forever imploding upon itself.

We, like poor Sisyphus, are experiencing a stupidly nihilistic and absurd crisis. Our minds are in turmoil from the infernal conundrum of the rock which the narcissists have always burdened us with.

Ah! Modern Sisyphus(es). Ought thou not supposed to be pushing that boulder uphill quite on your lonesome? Why then ought you be trying to murder your brothers and sisters, children and the general world, by deliberately heaving it downhill?

Are you, modern leaders, perchance, are behaving ungentlemanly, thinking that "Life is meaningless". Or, are you performing an experiment, testing the premise of the repercussions of your actions. What will be the outcome of a single act on the fabric of our banal existence. Thou art condemned so what does it matter, you ask? Still, that is a harsh method for addressing the human desire for meaning.

Absurdism

The constant conflict between the human desire for meaning and the world's lack thereof. A belief that the human condition is absurd, always looking for meaning, yet unable to find it. We embrace paradox, contradiction, and reflexivity, which then leads to uncertainty...which then leads to bad decisions.

This philosophical theory that the universe is irrational and meaningless - That trying to find meaning leads to conflict between rational man and an irrational universe, between intention and outcome.

Resulting in the 'murder of crows', literally - with us being the crows.

Still...

The Absurdist hesitantly allows the possibility for some meaning or value in life.

Futility of the Nihilist

That which Contends that "it is futile to seek or to affirm meaning where none can be found."

Existentialism

Inner conflicts arise (from the actions of absurdists whom we follow blindly, leading to our destruction).

Sometimes I feel that life lacks meaning and confusion raises questions about my personal identity. Enters anxiety and stress, a disturbance of one's normal functioning in everyday life. Such negative attitude towards meaning reflects the Emotional, cognitive, and behavioral.

It now appears that life has converged all of the Existential crises - gathered all of the different stages in life: the teenage crisis, the quarter-life crisis, the mid-life crisis, and the later-life crisis - into one giant ball of stress...and in one Sisyphus moment --- subjected us all to rolling the crisis forever uphill.

There is no longer a forward-looking: just anxious and confused humans, wondering about which path in life to follow: education, career, personal identity, and social relationships... all seem shot to hell and beyond.

We are now Backward-looking. If one has passed one's peak in life, guilt, regret, fear of death seems the order of the day.

Will the world crisis ever be properly resolved, will it ever be easier for our later selves to resolve or avoid crises. Still, we continue...and hope, for we are all experiencing this horrible world crises in our life.

Our years are now marked by struggles and challenges. We are condemned to eternally pushing this unwelcome boulder up a hill, yet it keeps rolling back down each time we near the summit, figures of futility and endless toil.

Each day of our troubled life unfolds, trapping us in our own Sisyphean cycle. Obstacles and setbacks mirror the boulder's ceaseless ascent and descent. There are moments where hope wavered, and the weight of our burdens seem too great to bear. Remember Sisyphus not as a symbol of despair, but as one of resilience.

He may not have had a choice, but his refusal to succumb to the futility of his task, must become a source of inspiration. He found meaning not in the end goal, but in the struggle itself. Each push of the boulder was an ode to his strength and perseverance. In embracing his endless labor, he defied the gods' intention to break him.

So must we.

Struggles can transform. The value of a journey lay not solely in overcoming, but in the courage to face them repeatedly. The setbacks, though disheartening, are opportunities for reaffirmation. Like Sisyphus, we can choose to see each push, as a victory in itself.

Perspective brings clarity...endurance and fortitude. Finding strength in the act of persistence, and peace in the acceptance that not every struggle needs a triumphant end, though it would be preferable. The journey, with all its ups and downs, will be an experience.

Life may sometimes feel like an endless uphill battle, it is our response to these challenges that defines us. By embracing the struggle and finding meaning in each effort, we can transcend the futility and discover the power within ourselves.

Look back on this troubled year with a newfound clarity, ready to face the boulders that tomorrow may bring.

Simple songs can become symphonies.

A luta continua.

'Life may sometimes feel like an endless uphill battle, it is our response to these challenges that defines us.' This too. Often other people are the issues.
