Like glitter on the ground, the shimmering of the snow encapsulated him. Everything around him was white; only he knew how terrible it was for such beauty to come. Quinn always loved winter, so he chose to travel to Russia. He knew the winters could be harsh, but it had been projected that the winter would be moderately mild.

Not only did Quinn love the winter, but he also loved anything outdoors. Mountaineering was one of his passions, and with that and his love of winter, Quinn chose to go to Mount Elbrus. Considering all the snow, Mount Elbrus is one of the most intense mountains to trek in Russia. Mountaineering is not an activity to be done alone, so Quinn brought his best friend, Gabe, along with him and their mountaineering group.

For the first few days, everything was fine. Quinn, Gabe, and their group made significant progress up Mount Elbrus. It was when the storm hit that everything fell apart. The unanticipated blizzard had blinded the group, and with Quinn and Gabe in the back, they lost sight of the group and were lost. The bad luck had not stopped there either. While Gabe was taking his turn scaling a mountain wall, an avalanche began its way, hurtling down at the two young men.

With that turn of luck, Quinn was buried in the snow while Gabe panicked and frantically dug him out. Wait, what’s that sound? Is a helicopter in the area? Thank God for that.
