A Tragic Tale of Magic, Misunderstanding, and Memories of Lucy;

The Tragic Story of Lucy

By Abbas AliPublished 3 years ago 3 min read
Lucy...

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Lucy. She was a kind and curious girl, with a love for adventure and a passion for magic. She lived in a small village where magic was frowned upon, but Lucy couldn't help but be drawn to it. She would spend her days in the forest, practicing spells and learning about the ancient magic that had been passed down for generations.

But as Lucy grew older, her love for magic started to cause problems for her. The villagers began to fear and mistrust her, and they whispered behind her back about the strange powers she possessed. They called her a witch and said she was in league with the devil.

Lucy didn't understand why the villagers were so afraid of her. She had never used her magic to harm anyone, only to help and heal. But their fear turned to hatred, and they started to bully and torment her.

Lucy's parents tried to protect her, but they were powerless against the mob of villagers who were determined to drive her out. They were forced to send her away, to a place where she would be safe from the hatred and bigotry of her people.

Lucy was heartbroken to leave her home and her family behind, but she knew it was the only way to keep them safe. She set out on her own, determined to make a new life for herself.

For a while, things seemed to be looking up for Lucy. She found work as a healer in a nearby town, using her magic to help the sick and injured. She made friends and found a sense of belonging that she had never known before.

But just as she was starting to build a new life for herself, tragedy struck. A powerful sorcerer, jealous of Lucy's growing powers and reputation, decided to put an end to her. He cast a curse on her, slowly sapping away her strength and vitality.

Lucy fought against the curse with all her might, but it was too powerful for her to overcome. Her magic started to fade, and her body became frail. She knew that she didn't have much time left.

In her final days, Lucy returned to her village, to the place where she had grown up. She wanted to see her family one last time and say goodbye to the place that had been both her home and her prison.

But when she arrived, she found that the villagers had not changed. They still feared and mistrusted her, and they turned her away. Lucy was too weak to argue, she could only cry.

Lucy died alone, her body weak and her spirit broken. She never knew true love or acceptance from her people. Her magic was gone and her name was forgotten. But in the forest, where she used to play and practice magic, a tree started to grow. A tree that bloomed every year, a reminder of the kind and curious girl who had once brought magic to their village.

As the villagers heard of Lucy's death, they felt guilty and regretful, they realized that they had been wrong about her all along. They knew that she was not a witch, but a kind and compassionate young woman who only wanted to help others. They wished they had treated her differently, they wished they could go back in time and change their ways.

But it was too late for that. Lucy was gone, and there was nothing they could do to bring her back. They visited her grave and left flowers, they apologized to her family and promised to never make the same mistake again.

Years passed, and the villagers slowly began to forget about Lucy. But the tree in the forest continued to bloom every year, a reminder of the young girl who had once lived among them. The villagers started to tell stories about her, to their children and grandchildren, and they told them about her kindness, her courage, and her magic. They told them that they should never judge someone by their appearance or abilities and that they should always strive to be kind and compassionate.

Lucy's legacy lived on, not just through the blooming tree but also through the kindness and compassion the villagers had learned from her. Her story may have been tragic and sad, but it left a lasting impact on the village and the people who had once known her.
