A Mysterious Game with deadly stakes.
The Deadly Game

The room was dimly lit, the only source of light flickering from a single chandelier hanging above a circular table. Five strangers sat around it, their eyes darting between each other, hearts pounding in their chests.
A smooth voice broke the silence. "Welcome to the game. The rules are simple—survive."
The speaker was a masked man in a black suit, standing at the head of the table. His mask, an eerie white with hollow eyes, concealed any emotion.
The players exchanged nervous glances. They had all been kidnapped from different locations and awoke to find themselves in this room. The only thing they knew was the letter left in front of them:
"Win, and you leave. Lose, and you die."
A large timer on the wall ticked down from sixty minutes.
(I)Round One: The First Move
A deck of cards lay in the center of the table. The masked man motioned toward it.
"Pick a card," he said, his voice devoid of emotion.
James, a lawyer with sharp instincts, hesitated before reaching out. His fingers trembled as he flipped over a card.
"The Ace of Spades."
The masked man nodded. "Unlucky. The Ace of Spades means... an elimination round."
The lights dimmed further, and a door creaked open behind them. A mechanical voice spoke:
- "One of you must die."
- Panic set in. The woman sitting beside James, Sarah, gasped. "This can’t be real. We won’t actually die, right?"
- (II)The masked man remained silent.
- Then, the floor beneath one of the players, an older businessman named Richard, opened up. A scream echoed through the room as he plummeted into the darkness. The trapdoor snapped shut.
- Four remained.
- Round Two: The True Nature of the Game
- The remaining players—James, Sarah, a hacker named Leo, and a quiet woman called Emily—stared in shock. The reality of the game hit them like a thunderbolt.
- "There must be a way out," Leo muttered, scanning the walls for hidden cameras or an escape.
- "You can try," the masked man said, almost amused. "But every wrong move costs a life."
- James clenched his fists. "Why are you doing this?"
- The masked man only chuckled. "Because you all have something to hide."
- A second round began. This time, a question appeared on a screen above them:
- "Confess your deepest sin. Refuse, and the game decides for you."
- Silence.
- Sarah was the first to speak. "I… stole from my company. I framed someone else."
- Leo sighed. "I hacked into government records and sold information."
- James hesitated. "I… destroyed evidence in a case to protect a client. A guilty client."
- All eyes turned to Emily. She was trembling. "I… I can’t say it."
- A buzzer sounded. The masked man shook his head.
- "Then the game chooses for you."
- The trapdoor beneath Emily opened, and she was gone in an instant.
- The Final Round: A Horrifying Truth
- Only three remained.
- The timer showed ten minutes left.
- A final question appeared:
- "Who among you is the killer?"
- Jamez froze. A killer? But then… it all made sense.
- These weren’t random strangers. They were all guilty of crimes. And now, the game was testing their limits.
- Sarah pointed at Leo. "It’s him!"
- Leo shouted, "No! I bet it’s you!"
- James took a deep breath, analyzing everything. "No. The killer is—"
- Suddenly, the masked man removed his disguise.
- James’s blood ran cold.
- It was Richard, the man who had supposedly fallen into the trap earlier.
- "Surprised?" Richard smirked. "I faked my death in the first round. I created this game to punish those who think they can escape justice."
- James’ mind raced. They had played right into his hands.
- The masked man—Richard—pulled out a gun. "Only one of you Gets to leave. The final decision is yours."
- Sarah lunged at him, and the gun fired.
- A deafening silence followed.
- When the smoke cleared, only James remained standing.
- Richard and Sarah lay lifeless. The screen above flickered:
- "Congratulations, Winner."
- A door unlocked behind him. James stepped forward, his legs weak.
- As he exited, a new note was handed to him.
- "You survived… but now, you run."
- His heart pounded. The game wasn’t over.
- It was only the beginning.
