Once upon a time, there was a little boy who dreamed about getting married one day. Most of the other little boys his age dreamed of playing professional sports one day for renowned teams. This little boy didn’t care about playing sports. Instead, he just wanted to get married one day so that he could be a husband and be a father to children. He didn’t exactly know how children came to be, but he knew that it took a wife to have a family. He just knew he was supposed to have this experience in life.
The boy grew up, and as a nineteen year old, he still desperately wanted to get married early so that he could have children. Getting a job, to provide for his future family really was important. He didn’t really care about having the greatest, or most prestigious career. He knew that he’d need to work full-time in order to have enough money for a family though.
He got a full-time job, proposed the day after securing his first full-time job, and soon after got married. The ring he gave his soon-to-be-bride was custom made just for her. The wedding day was beautiful. There was so many people there.
He and his wife experienced a miscarriage a few months after being married. Six months after that, they got pregnant again, and this time, they were able to have a baby! It was a beautiful little baby girl!
Over the years of being married, several different traumatic events occurred. The marriage grew weaker and weaker. Before long, due to layers of heartbreak and trauma, it seemed like the marital relationship hardly even existed at all. It felt like no one really believed in the marriage, any longer, including extended family.
The couple separated. Sadly, the young little girl was heartbroken. The man’s heart broke tremendously because he knew he had to leave. Staying in the marriage was wrecking his soul. He just had to leave. It felt like his deepest, longest-held desires were crushed. The word divorce was kin to a cuss word where he came from but yet here he was in the midst of it.
The man thought back to his childhood years and wondered why he wanted to grow up so fast.

Dreams broke but love stayed.
Life has a way of shaking even the strongest dreams but that doesn’t mean we have to stop dreaming. Sometimes, the best chapters come after the hardest turns! ✨
When the holy desires that fuel our hearts and our spirit are crushed, we grieve.
