Life can feel at times like a heavy storm with ominous clouds that won't split. Sadness weighs heavily, and it seems as though the sun has lost its ability to shine. But one star can light up the sky even on the darkest nights.

Sadness is acceptable. It's acceptable to cry and to sit with the weight of it all for a while. But keep in mind that this melancholy will pass, just as night gives way to day. Even if it feels heavy right now, your heart is resilient and you are stronger than you realize.

Even if they seem far away now, remember the times when you were happy. The times of peaceful peace, the love you've given and received, and the laughter you shared. These are the lights that continue to shine within you to help you navigate the shadows.

Inhale deeply. Allow yourself to feel sad, but don't let it consume you. The power you receive from getting through this period will help you reach better days ahead. There is always a light, even if it is only a flicker, waiting to lead you back to happiness, so you are never really alone.

Sarah, cling to that brightness. There will be better times ahead.

Never forget that it's acceptable to get in touch with someone you trust, whether it's just to chat about your problems or to spend time with someone who understands. Better times are ahead, and you are loved and appreciated.
