A Bond Unseen

The cold was unbearable. It gnawed at them both, but Quaraun could not bring himself to leave the warmth of BoomFuzzy's embrace. The chill of the world had seeped into his bones, and even with his pink silk robes wrapped tight, it never seemed enough.

"Ya'll freeze if ya stay out here, me wee JellyElf," BoomFuzzy muttered, lifting him gently, pulling him closer. "Let me warm ye."

Quaraun didn't speak, only nestled deeper against the warmth of the Frost Lich's body. 

It wasn't about heat. 

It was about the bond - the one thing that had not been broken, even in a world that had shattered.
